I thought the Dev Team was using various 3rd party programs to create all sorts of stuff, including the landscape and what-not, and then importing them into TES:CS to put the mod together.
However, I'm not a Dev myself (obviously) so I could be wrong.

Your probably right wolf, I just want to know what exactly they have changed?
Will we see fantastic mountain ranges, geographically correct seabeds.
I heard somewhere that the landscapes are actually meshes

! But I'm not sure if this was idle chatter or dev talk

I use 3D studio max for my modeling. We also use photoshop and various other programs to do some artwork. As far as landscapes go, I'm not exactly sure how its done but I think you are right in saying its done in a 3rd party program other than the TES:CS. However, a lot of work is done in the TES:CS as well.

Contrairy to popular belief, we are in fact designing the landscape of Middle-Earth in Windows Paint.

Most of the actual modeling isn't 3d. It's just stick figures done in paint anyway. Low poly count and all.

Aug 24 2004, 12:20 AM
perhaps because the original question actually had no contextual content whatsoever to answer.
Which editors. what purpose, what content, which areas.
that question is like saying "how long is a peice of string".
