Okay, I got Morrowind a few days ago and, I can't figure out how to use the TES Construction Set.

Like, I wanted to makea new house in Balmora for my character with lot's of storage and all the neccesary things.

And nearby a place with NPC's who train for all.

How do I even start using it?

How to start:

Start the TESCS program

Load the Morrowind.esm datafile


Check out the tutorial which comes with the editor


If this tutorial doesn't answer your questions, run a forum search on 'tutorials' and follow up any links given

If the forum search doesn't bring up anything useful, run a google search on 'Morrowind tutorials'

Work your way through a tutorial you like - trial and error is the best way to learn using the editor

In my experiance creating dungeons/houses in morrowind is a major pain in the arse. But if you insist you first need to find a place to put it then load that area by doubleclicking it in the area list at the lower right of the screen, then you need to place one of the houses and or a door from the "static" tab in the objects window, then you have to make a interior cell witch involes placing all the walls and such, then you have to link the door to the interior cell...see the tutorial for more specific information...

if this post here seems like its alot of work to make a house its because truthfully it is. still its a heck of alot easier and less time consuming then trying to make a new town/island.
Also i recomend searching the elderscrolls.com forums im sure there are many topics similar to this one where you can get alot of information that the tutorials dont cover.

I am by no means saying that there arnt people here that can help, only that if you search their forums you may find links to in depth TES documentation.
