3dsmax, the only program you can use to edit .nif files.

Who knows. And you won't be told as piracy is illegal, and illegal things aren't allowed to be discussed on this forum I'm afraid.

No. The export plugin is only for 3dsmax.

The official plugin does not allow you to, but there's a .nif import plugin out there somewhere if you can find it.

indeed where would we be without google
http://66.106.110.151/Morrowind/Thanos_Tow...d/NifImport.dlii was hoping for a feature in 3dsmax but a plugin will also do, if it doesnt crash too much as the readme suggests

well there is a .nif export plugin but that one doesn't work. Well it exports the mesh but somehow morrowind won't import it so what I always do is export the model as a .3ds file, import it into 3d max and export it as a .nif. You might wonder why have you got 3d max ? Well that's for animating heads and physique stuff.

Hi I got a question.
I have 3dsmax 5. I am using the TES Exporter plug-in, and I am also using the NifPlugin v0.11 Beta. I imported an original .nif file to edit, and I created my own head to export.
Here's my problem. All the animation for the head has been lost. Is there anybody who knows how to animate a head to export into morrowind? Or, how to keep from losing the original animations when I import into max?
I appreciate any help anyone has to offer. Thanks in advance.

Will anyone please reply to my question, or at least tell me if I need to ask this question somewhere else? I know somebody has to know this. I hope at least. Thanks.

Well the thing is you can't animate heads in 3d max 5. You need the morpher modifier for it. Which doesn't work orso. I don't know it for sure but I thought it didn't worked in 3d max 5. There's no way that you can import an head with the nif importer without losing the animation.

Hey, thanks so much for your reply and the link to the tutorial. That is just what I needed. I think I still have 3ds max 3, and I'll see if the morpher works in it. Hopefully I can get this to work. If anyone has any more advice, please let me know. Thanks again!
