My computer is not letting me access my meshes directory in my data files. How can I fix this?
Hir_Nesta
I think it is not pointless at all, but in the wrong place.

Besides that, give us a little more information than that
so we can make a better picture of you prob.
(I assume you're talking about the TES??)

Kiren

Er... basically we need more information as to what your problem actually is. What do you mean not allowing you access? You go to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Meshes via My Computer and... then what?
Kiren
Then it says C:/Programs,, you know the rest, is not accessable. Access is denied
Marxist ßastard
Are you running a Windows NT-based OS?

In the game it should automatically, but in the CS, all you have to do it pop in the Construction Set CD and use the files off of that. Works for me.
Kiren
huh? wha? huh.gif I just want to know how to acess my meshes directory. otherwise, I wont be able to DL cool mods.
UberBender
You need to be a system admin to access/change files in the C drive. (on XP, I assume that is what you are using.)
Kiren
I am a system admin,, i think.. maybe my dad is... but wait. im the admin for this comp, does that make me admin?
UberBender
Open the start menu and click the pic next to your account name.

It should say Limited acount or Comp Admin.
Kiren
what pic?
UberBender
Lord save us...

First of all, are you using XP?

on whose name is the computer registred ?
do u have to type in a password when starting up ?
are parts of your drive write protected if yes what parts ?

the downdrop list is the place where u type in a location or adress in a window like this

c:\programmas\bethesdasoftworks\

in your case it probably would be programs instead of programmas
