<idiocy
it's not always about that... there's fashion sense ya know. kinda like the whole rapper pants thing (with one pants leg rolled up on their sweats). fashionably unbalanced. and i've got my character running around in nothing but expensive clothes right now in solstheim (no armor = leap tall buildings in a single bound

) so fashion could definitely be a concern....
uh...

As far as armour goes, i usually go with what looks better, even if its not as good, Like for my kajiit file, whenever i'm in solstheim (sp?), i always wear snow wolf armour with some bear head that i found that has CE detect creature for however far a distance... but when i'm in Vvardenfell I wear dark brotherhood armour cause i'm an assassin and variations of it. It just works out. I dont wanna go around wearin bright green armour, glass, when i'm tryin to slit some dudes throat. and black just doesent exactly blend in in snow.

may be a stupid question but: does the armor color actually change whether or not you're more or less visible? i just assumed less armor.

Aug 13 2004, 11:46 PM
No! of course not! It just bugs me and i like the realism alittle more ok? Happy? Even though, morrowind really has a lot of non realistic things about it. Ah who cares. I'd just rather look like an assassin than the green goblin. oh yeah,

You are a king among men.
I'm into the Amun-An Bonemold armor right now, which looks good with the Chuzei Bonemold helm and a Redoran shield. However, I don't use a Redoran shield, because I picked up an Imperial shield off of some luckless punk that I beat into colors.

No... you don't level up faster... Just because you're wearing light and medium armors doesn't mean you get experience in both of them when you're hit. Plus, why would you want low scores in medium and light when you could have a high score in one of them? By majoring in two different armor skills, your AR is lower because you can't put all your experience into both of them.

NITPICK ALERT! Eiade...AR rating? AR == Armor Rating, right? sorry, had to say it.

Well I think it sounds cooler saying AR rating! So there.

I was just wondering if anyone had decided to steal the Redoran master helm and not hand it over to Aengoth the jeweller? I quite like it. It's a kind of "mega bonemould" I liken it to a skeletal deadric helm. Just my opinion though
Eiade
Aug 15 2004, 11:46 PM
The first serious character I ever made was a medium-armored redguard. He wore bonemold for most of the game. I never put on the Redoran Masters Helm because frankly, I thought it was kind of ugly. Haha. I always used the dragonscale helm. (I think dragonscale is the coolest-looking medium armor ever. You can buy a full suit in some mod.)
If my calculations are correct, it's a theives guild mission you're talking about?

Aug 16 2004, 10:59 PM
That's right, Ald'ruhn thieves' guild quest. Ugly yes, evil looking yes, made of bone yes, I love it

I'm still a big fan of the heavy leather boots, best thing the imperials ever made! Wish I had a full suit to match

To all you thieves and assassins, there is an art to what you do. But going in battle with a well earned suit of adamantium armor while cleaving your way through hordes of enemies in a deadric shrine with your trusty blade........heck... thats just magical.
And if you got your set of adamantium armor like i did (Countless hours of venturing under the mournhold sewer finding raw adamantium and bringing it back up just to make one piece) Then it is most definately a well earned suit of armor. Almost enough to make a bond between man and metal.....perhaps we have found the gap that we.....excuse me i'm getting carried away...

lol sounds like one of those corny npc lines...
ok is adamantium the most powerful medium armor? how does the strength (health) of it or the weight of it compare with other mediums armors?
Dinin
Aug 18 2004, 08:45 PM
Well, its not the best medium armor out there. I'm not sure on the weight of it, I think its just your basic medium armor weight, maybe a couple pounds over. As for the protection, the helmet gives out a whopping 175 or around there, and i have her ironskin from almalexia so its like 195 for me. Everything else is around 112. But if you want the best medium armor, i think you should pick the Royal guard set, plus the royal guard set is easier to get. But uh..like i said..i have a um..special bond with my adamantium armor, so i choose it....

On the topic of adamantium armour, the adamantium helm of tohan is a nice mod. I like the AHofT, nice piece of armour and it looks good.

Well you can download the official plug-in and buy it! Alternatively there are boots helm and bracers lying around in the Mournhold sewers waiting to be picked up.

Visit the UESP website for details on where every piece of orcish armour may be obtained. (Also has glass, daedric and ebony).
Alternatively, go to Suran and ask the woman behind the bar in the house of Earthly or is it Earthy?) delights about latest rumours.
Find out what she's on about and - there you go!

this is slightly off topic, but it seems somewhat aproprate here.
What does bound armor fall under, it is deadric so its heavy, but it weighs nothing so is it light, or because its nothing is it unarmored?
i was told it falls under all, depending on wich you use but it seems hard to beleive.
and no i'm not a n00b, just never worked with conjeration before.
damn thats a real good question. I can beleive thats is all because if you watch your stats or the effects of each of the bound armor it all has different stat effects.
