I know that the art files to creat a new item are on the cd, but where are the inventory image files? (This would be if you right clicked on a a weapon in TES and choose new)

They're all under Morrowind\Data Files\Icons... same on CD, Icons folder. If you want weapons, just look in Icons\w\.
