Hey guys

I have decided to start playing Morrowind again. However, I am one of those guys that always gets somewhere with a character and then gets bored of him (don't ask why, I have issues ) and I was wondering what character ideas you guys have.

I have always wanted to use some kind of magic, I'm nearly always a fighter, but I hear that Mages aren't too good :\

So any ideas would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Yes! Use the weaknesses of the different races, and make this easy game abit harder!

use a high elf...they can do the same as every other character at high level but they have a lot more magicka.only downfall is that you can get damaged badly by elemental spells.

Ok, I'm a spoilsport...

In the end I decided with a Dark Elf Archer. It's not going too bad at the moment, I'm getting started with some Vivec Fighters Guild missions to get me some money, and then I'll be out in the wild, levelling and (hopefully) getting rich!

For my newest 'project' I started a few days ago I went with an 'honest' character. Well not really honest but i put special restrictions on him. NO stealing, even if you can get away with it (unless the bodys already dead) this means try not to join thieves guild. dont use creeper either. oh also i made him Commoner class, almost no combat or magic skills in the Maj/Min slots. anything you can do to the game to make it more difficult while still being interesting will do.

or i guess you could just pick a cliche persona to replicate. like the bloodhungry axe swinging warrior and join the fighters, imperial legions, and redoran. or the dark warlock sorceror and join the mages, the temple and the telvaani. or the super stealthy uber thief terroristic type and join the thieves, the morag tong, and the hlaalu.

i would like to try any of these roles but i think theyd be way too uber and so i chose a lowly commoner class strapped a ruleset on him and proceeded to try and make my way in the world. I hope i helped!

ive always wanted to be a wood elf warrior is that challenging

I think the wood elf warrior actually is a challeng due to them not being exactly the strongest eh. But try something like a redguard mage. Always fun.

i know that a wodelf archer is a little cleche, but mine is basicly a warrior. Snipe till they get close then its sword and sheild. My first real character aswell.

I once did a character with half magic and half combat. I called him a Mage Warrior. =o) Always something new. Right now I believe I'm a Shadow Warrior.

All of those sound very intiresting.... I might make one after i beat the main quests for Vvardenfell, Solstiem, and Mournhold with my Kajiit Thief... Yes, very cliche but hey, he kicks butt and i'm havin fun with him.

So far my favorite is a custom class - Nord Barbarian type, but the kicker is do it Bare Sark - NEVER wear armor. You are allowed to use a two-handed weapon or a one-hand with a shield - but bare-arsed nekkid otherwise. No rings, amulets, any magic help - you HATE magic unless it is on a weapon.

For added fun, do the honor thing - the only loot legal for you is that earned by combat. Clear out a smuggler's cave, it's yours - but not anything lying around loose in town! Oh, and add the Enhanced Lock Bashing mod - none of that lockpicks or probes thieving stuff either.

Well the most *challenging* thing u can do (not to mention crazy), is playing a high-elf, whose sole mission in life is to go naked into daedric shrines and rid vvardenfell of every last flame, frost and storm atronach with his bare hands.
If any of you is brave enough to try (i know i'm not) plz share with us how it went
