Advertising using the Database is strictly forbidden. That is, making a download that is nothing more than an ad. The next person who does this I will be reporting to Dark0ne for abuse of a free resource.

Pinned/moved to site news for you, hopefully it'll get their attention.

Thanks. I just didn't want Dark0ne to get mad at me by posting it in news orginally.

Exactly. They think just because I'm only site staff I can't do anything. Let's see, Switch is also site staff, and Dark0ne is omniscient.

Ok, so let me get this straight. You cant say "VISIT MY SITE HERE!!!"? If so, that is understandable. I would say, if you want to advertise your web site, do it in your sig where people dont have to waste time looking at your forums, when they can just ignore your sig =o)

No, you just can't post a "mod" which is really just an advertisement. Including a link to your mod site in the description is entirely different.

You'd have to ask Dark0ne on that. But I'd say no.

If you included it as an extra part of the package, then maybe. For example:
Person A is working on Project X. Person A finishes Project X, and decides to make a sequel to Project X, which will be Project Y. Person A decides to upload Project X to MWSource. Included in his zip, is a small trailer for Project Y, as well as a readme.
That would be fine [I believe] as long as the trailer is small.

I would think that if someone made even a long video and put it in their zip, it would be ok, because you dont have to watch it if you dont want... Like putting a picture in the zip, you dont HAVE to look at it, so its ok. But thats just my opinion.

I have to agree with adras you dont have to look at it if you dont want to but some people might actually want to but rules are rules you cant change that.

I just said that because video files take up alot of room [a.k.a. server space. Which costs money.] Such as the two Half-Life 2 E3 videos, which both took up about 600,000kb apiece.
