Hir_Nesta
OCC: ok well sorry i know i was doing a bit uber but i just did not lik ethe thought of revealing everything to you right now...and because of that staff thing: there is a story behind the fact i can touch it. there is always a reason for such things.
So lets pretend the last post from me wasn't made. (but hey guys, really do you think when i see 3 wood elves coming my way (from a distace of probably one mile) i wouldnt go away? man you must think i'm an uberlamer or something smile.gif
Can we go with the fact that i rushed off as soon as i realize that elsuch rushes in the forest? I mean my character is not blind in fact... happy.gif
So would this be allright?
Fishystick
OOC:The almighty.. ok, the not-so-mighty GM, me(I'm damn proud of it, to), decides that when Hir_Nesta's character saw us coming and heard the arrow hit the tree, he turned his back and made a run for it. I agree with you, it would be utterly rubbish if he didn't hurry as hell.
Hir_Nesta
OCC: ok thx (but please remind me again if i'm doing somthing wrong (my first rpg blush.gif ))

IC: "Hmm, how did they hear me?" Seraph thought as he watched the elves strifing through the forest. Fast enough he realized the danger, packed his stuff and ran the hell of his legs.
"Lucky me.." he thought as he heard the impact of the arrow in the tree he' been sitting in a few seconds ago.
But still, he was in danger. Suddenly he reminded of a cave in the swamps near the ocean and was now heading towards it. It was a good hidden cave, not good enough for an Wood elvs skills but still enough to rest a bit from the run.
And still he heard behind him the followers.
"No my dear" he mumbled to himself as he watched the staff for a second. "they won't get you..."
Eiade
OOC: So I'll assume I'm still on the ground. Or something.

IC:

Eiade saw movement off in the distance. She jumped from the ground and her hands grabbed onto a treebranch. She pulled herself up and climbed up to the highest point of the tree.
"Shi'fass!" The nighteye spell illuminated the forested valley before her, where she located the quarry.
"There!" She said, pointing to the south. "Someone runs up the hill, a several hundred paces ahead!" She jumped down to the ground. "However, if we pursue him, there is a sizable chance that we will not find him. He is quite far ahead of us. He must've seen us coming. He's going south, so that probably means he's headed for the bitter coast, or any of the coastal villages to use transportation. What do you guys want to do? Make your decision quick, every second we delay, he gets farther away."
Fishystick
"Leave him, he won't bother us anymore, atleast not for now", said Élsúch and watched the dark forest. "Let's go back." He turned around and left. Tarkél stood there for a second or two, then turned around and started walking. "Coming?", he asked Eiade.
Hir_Nesta
Deep breathing he reached the Cave he would use for his sleep. Carefully he looked into it. "Nothing here...good"

Short after arriving he fell into a deep sleep after laying down on the plain rocks which was disturbed only by a roaming rat which found a really fast and awful death.
Eiade
Eiade joined the other two and headed back to the camp. She was glad that they weren't pursuing him. She was tired of fighting, and wanted some rest and peace. The three of them arrived back at camp.

The stew was done. It smelled quite good. She pulled a few leaves the size of plates off of a nearby tree (the meal was more of a paste than liquid (kind of like oatmeal), so plates would work.). "Who's hungry?"
Fishystick
"Real food, I haven't eaten anything except dry bread for the last four days", said Tarkél and grabbed one of the leaves. "Smells great, why don't you.. Where'd he go?" Tarkél turned around and watched the camp. Élsúch was nowhere to be found. "Ah well, his loss", Tarkél muttered and turned against the stew again, it was getting quite cold in the forest, but the warmth from the fire and the smell of the food made him feel a bit happier. "And", he thought to himself, "the company is great"
Eiade
Eiade smiled at him. "Now," she said. "Back to our conversation."
"I don't live anywhere in particular, not to say that I'm a wanderer or anything. Most all of the time taverns and bars that I entertain at will give me a free room for the night. Actually I help their business a lot, so most of the owners let me stay for as long as I like. I entertain at night, and mingle with the townfolk during the day. Sometimes I offer training in acrobatics or martial arts to those who will pay. If I ever really want a single place to live for a long period of time, I'll go back to Valenwood. But I've always thought of purchasing a house in the Ascadian Isles. Such a lovely place, with green grassy fields and wonderful wildflowers." She thought to herself for a second. "But I don't expect to do that anytime soon. I simply don't have the money yet. But it's getting there. I might be able to pull it off. Right now I'm just focusing on having fun and meeting new people and going places. You know, some excitement."

She poured some of the stew on a leaf for herself, and used her throwing dagger to eat the sauce-smothered chunks of meat. Her throwing daggers were multi-tools for her. She used them for all kinds of things besides marksman throwing.
Alexander the Great
"What was that all about", Sorrion asked the wood elves, "And what happened to the other". He moved over to the fire and placed some stew on his plate. "What are we doing now".
After Sorrion had eaten some stew/past/stuff, he asked the group "What do we do now. We still have to wait for Ken, right?"
Fishystick
"Ken decided to leave, and it seems he hasn't changed his mind yet", said Élsúch's voice from the edge of the forest. He walked into the light from the fireplace and sat down against a rock. "Where did you go then?", asked Tarkél and poured some stew onto his own plate and sat down next to Eiade, she was really the one he liked most in the camp, he thought. "I went to have a look at Gnisis", Élsúch replied and watched the fire.

Élsúch turned his head against Sorrion. "Ken will meet up with us in Tel Fyr if he wants to, if not, then let him leave. For now, do whatever you wish to do, but make sure you're ready by dusk tomorrow, because that's when we are getting out of here, it's to dangerous to travel during the day. The chance of being followed is smaller during the night, the forest will hide us."

Tarkél turned against Eiade again. "The Ascadian Isles, you said? I like that place to, it's.. relaxing. To be honest, I've been thinking of moving there myself someday", he said. "Not fully true, but is she's going, it's worth it", he thought and continued to eat.
Alexander the Great
Sorrion deciede to leave the two to whatever business they had in mind. He wandered through the forest to see if he could collect any supplies for their journey. He came across a pair of rats and when meat just stumbles into his hands he doesnt leave it. So by the time he had come back later that day he had enough meat for at least a few days. That seemed like his average day when he was alone and why would this be any different he asked himself. Sorrion was just happy to be along for the ride in this adventure. He may not have known what they were truly doing, but he was helping. These were good people. Sorrion decided to wander the forest for the rest of the day. No use in sitting around camp he told himself.
Eiade
OOC: whoa whoa wait wait. the sun just went down. that means it's like 7 or 8 o'clock. sorrion, is the post right above this one implying that it's daytime in the next day? we're not there yet.

IC:

Eiade finished her stew and picked up her kresh fibers, and started braiding where she left off. It was a tight and complex braid, one that her mother had taught her. She securely tied heather buds into the weave, one every inch or so. She kept on going until it was about 5 or 6 inches long, then ended the strand in a special knot. She then tied it onto her wrist.
"Kresh bracelet," she said to Tarkel. "Do you like it?"
Fishystick
Tarkél watched the bracelet around Eiade's wrist and turned to her. "Beatiful", he said and smiled. "Who taught you that?", he asked and looked towards the sky. "My mother", Eiade replied. A small, blue bird cam flying down from a tree and landed on Tarkél's plate where it jumped around and tried to find some leftovers, he pulled some bread out from underneath his cape and broke it i small pieces wich he held out in his hand. The bird watched him for a second, then slowly jumped into his hand and inspected the bread.

"Where is your mother then?", asked Tarkél and watched the bird, who was joined by another blue bird with green spots.
Eiade
OOC: Holy crap, fishystick, we're like the only people who have posted any useful information (besides Hir Nesta) all day! Does this mean that everyone else has a life and we don't? Cause I've been chillin at the forums practically all day.

IC:

"My mother is still in Valenwood," she said to him. "Alive, for all I know." Eiade reclined her body so that she was laying down, feet to the fire, and propped up on one elbow, the other hand toying with her newly made bracelet. She thought for a minute. "Tell me about your village. A wood elf settlement on Vvardenfell? I've never heard of such a thing. It makes me excited. I really want to go there."
Hir_Nesta
Seraph's sleep was disturbed. Not only the rat was annoying, it was his Dream:
"He stood on the top of a high dusty mountain. Beneath him he could slightly see his Brother. Sparks of red and green whirled around in the mix of Ash Storms and Darkness. He was obviously fighting.
Seraph tried to run to the battle, and as he came further as louder were the screams of pain. As he came around a big rock he saw the two Wizards.
One in gleaming light the other in devouring darkness. "Cherub!!" he screamed.
His Brother was still focused on the fight.
Suddenly the man in the darkness pulled out a staff. "What!..." Red light shined on everything. And with one loud burst and a large red shockwave his brother flew
into the next large rock standing there. "CHERUB!!!"
The Dark Wizard now turned to him.
With a massive fear in the back he started to run but didn't get ahead.
He ran
and ran
and...

woke up..

He stared around. Swet ran down his forehead.
He was still in his cave, the dead rat next to him.
"Time for some food..."
Fishystick
OOC:lol dude, that's ok, I've been checking these forums like every ten minutes while playing games, i seriously can't remember when i spoke to my friends.. I think it was like a week ago..

IC:Tarkél turned to Eiade and thought for a moment. "I know there were five big elf towns on Vvardenfell. One was ruled by the Dunmer, two were ruled by the Altmer and two were ruled by the Bosmer. I know the Dunmer city isn't there anymore, it was overtaken by orcs long ago. One of the Altmer city's is still filled with elves, but that's mostly Bosmer these days, Bosmer and Altmer in the same city.. anyway, one Altmer city is still an Altmer city.

The city that I was born in was destroyed just a few days ago, as I told you, but the last city is still standing, inhabited by Bosmer. If you want to, I can take you there some day, it's a wonderful city. If I'm not bying a house near the Ascadian Isles, I'm moving there, I'm sure about that."
Alexander the Great
OOC: Eiade, Sorrion was gone practically all night. He enjoys being alone with himself. He just decided to stay out for a while, and if we are leaving the next night, then he could sleep all day. I think thats right. And another question is where do you guys live. You must be in different time zones from me. I always have to wait like 6 hours for a reply.

IC: Sorrion wasnt tired even though it was late. He never was physically tired. He found a small clearing and decided this place was good as it was going to get. He set down his possesions and moved to the center of the clearing. He started to stretch out in moves similar to tai chi. This would lead him through the night. He would spend the day tomorrow sleeping. He had to be rested for their trek through to Tel Fyr, but with this group he never knew where they were going next.
tyjet3
Tyjet was glad to see everyone back... Our group has got much smaller, he thought. He looked around and scoped the group, we now have the three woodelves, duriel, sorrion, me, and well, i think that's it... Smaller groups were better anyway.

Tyjet got himself a very large plate full of the stew and started eating it. He listened in on Eiade's conversation with interest. We haven't really had a chance for us all to get to know each other, he thought. Maybe we could do that now.

After finishing his plate, he layed down and listened as the woodelves continued to talk...
Eiade
OOC: Our group really hasn't gotten small, save Ken and has-big-axe. Argonian Thief said simply that he cannot post, so I think we should assume that he is still with us. Flightlessbird hasn't posted since the 27th of july without giving us a reason... if this goes on for much longer I think we should have his character die or something. I am still assuming that he is still with us.

IC:

"I would like to visit that place someday." She looked over to Tyjet, laying down. He looked bothered.
"What's on your mind Tyjet?"
UberBender
OOC: I know him in real life, he's just a lazy bum.

Duriel sat listening to the two elves.

"Sorrry to inturrrupt, but arrre we going through the Red Mountian region? I am willing but if you don't want to I underrrstand."
Eiade
OOC: well call him and tell him to freakin get online and post. we haven't heard from him in five days. Is he gone on a trip or something? or having computer problems??

IC:

"No, we shouldn't take that route," said Eiade. "We will go through the Ashlands, but not the Red Mountain region."

Eiade sat up, eyes wide. "We could take a boat from Khuul to Dagon Fel! Then from Dagon Fel to Sadrith Mora! (ooc: yes you can actually do this in-game) From Sadrith Mora we will have to swim to get to Tel Fyr. Either that or borrow a few canoes. That is the fastest route. And, now that the staff is no longer in our possession, Luthin will not be so concious of our whereabouts! Does that sound like a good idea?"

EDIT: oh I didn't know he was on vacation. did he tell us? man I must've missed it.
UberBender
OOC: He's on vacation.

IC: "Sounds good to me. Tyjet?"
Alexander the Great
OOC: Yea what uber bender said. FlightlessBird is in Philly.

IC: Sorrion had returned to the group in time to hear about their plans for venturing forth. They didnt seem bad, but maybe there were other ways.
"Why dont we just find a ship along the southern coast of and take that up to at least Tel Branora. From there it is a swim and a walk, or we could venture even farther to an island city and we could island hop from there. I dont like the Ashland region personally or the north lands, but Ill leave this up to you if its an important matter. If it is a matter of money, Im sure we have plenty with the quality of the people we travel with." Sorroin ventured.
He had stuck his rat meat on a spit and started to roast it. It wasnt great, but Sorrion had an insaciable appetite sometimes. Just a regular black hole.
Eiade
Eiade looked at Sorrion with an eyebrow raised.
"Did you say Tel Branora? Tel Branora is on the opposite corner of the island from us. South-eastern tip. Taking a boat from Khuul to Dagon Fel to Sadrith Mora is faster and definitely safer than walking across the untamed Ashlands. The whole trip will probably cost around 40 gold per person, which I will gladly pay to avoid the kind of conflicts and danger that we have come across before. Once we arrive at Sadrith Mora we can island hop over to Tel Fyr, which isn't that far away at all."

She looked at Elsuch.
"Does that sound good? It's the best way I can think of."
Fishystick
"We're not taking any boats", said Élsúch with a tired look on the fire. "It's not safe." He rubbed his eyes and watched the fire again. "We're traveling just south of Ghostfence, past Ghostgate and then straight to Tel Fyr, not complicated, not fast, but safer than a boatride."
UberBender
"What is not safe about it? We are defanitly capable of taking care of ourselves. We also don't have the staff, so why would Luthin chase us?"
Alexander the Great
OOC:Sorrion hasnt been around long, so he needs to know who the evil persons are and what not.

Sorrion stared at Elusch for a few seconds before saying "Well i guess its better to be safe then sorry."
Sorrion thought if it matters to anyone then im for the safe route.
"Well, your plan is simple, thats what makes it sound good. I guess that boats really arent the safest travel methods, so im for your idea."
Better to agree i always say Sorrion told himself.
"Who is chasing us, now that i think about it i dont know. All i know is that we have an evil staff and it must be destroyed. What is going on here?"
Eiade
"I don't suggest we go south of the ghostgate. If we did that, we would have most of our journey consist of cutting through the wild dangerous ashlands, right through the thick of Vvardenfell's wildest areas. If we go north of the ghostgate, only half of our journey will be through ashlands, and then we emerge out onto the peaceful grazelands. And as we all know, the flat, quiet grazelands are much easier to travel across and are a much friendler environment than the ashlands. Plus we've been traveling north this whole time, expecting to take Has-Big-Axe to the Urshilaku camp because he is friends with the wise-woman. I'm sure if we tell them that we're friends of Has-Big-Axe, she may give us much-needed lodging. If we were to go south of the ghostfence, the only lodging we would see would be Ald-ruhn. The rest of that region is uninhabited, except several Velothi hideouts occupied by evil sorcerors and witches, and a few dangerous Dwemer ruins."
Fishystick
"I never said you weren't able to take care of yourselves, did I?", Élsúch said to Duriel with an irritated voice. "Why would Luthin go after us, you said? Because he wouldn't want us to know how to destroy his staff, that's why. I wouldn't be surprised if he's planning his next try to finish us off."

Tarkél watched his Bosmer friend and took a piece of bread. "I think that Eiade's idea sounds pretty good, why not travel through the grazelands instead of climbing huge piles of rocks and bandits?" Élsúch looked somewhat angered when he turned to Tarkél. "Sometimes, you have to work to get the job done in a safer way. Do you really think it would be better to make camp in the middle of an empty field where we would get seen in two seconds?"

Élsúch drank some water out of a bottle he had grabbed from the tradehouse. "Besides, they don't enjoy my company in the Urshilaku camp, I've been there once, and I won't go there again if I can avoid it." Tarkél was now laying on his cloak with his head leaned against the tree. "So you're saying that it would be harder to follow us south of Ghostfence?" Élsúch watched him and drank a little more. "Well, that's pretty much what I mean, but if everyone else are taking the easy way, I'll follow you all, as long as we get there."

OOC:ok, i'm going to make a description of Tarkél, since he's a character nowadays. Ok, I'm not sure how long the normal bosmer is, but he's about normal elf length, a bit longer then most humans, you know. His long darkbrown hair is often hidden under the brownish hooded cloak he wears over his simple clothes. he wears no armor at all except for a pair of boiled leather boots. As for weapons, he's skilled with the worn chitin bow he has hanging over his shoulder. He's also got a small glassknife and a small round glass shield, as green as his eyes. He's not very skilled in jumping and climbing, but he's got the fatigue to run pretty long, and he's a skilled swimmer. Don't expect Tarkél to beat down much with his bare fists, since the bow will get him much further then that. i think that's about the important things, PM me if I forgot something.
Eiade
Eiade considered Elsuch's words. They did have merit.

"I have an idea. We can travel across these northern ashlands, and then head straight for Tel Vos. (ooc: it's very helpful if you guys get out a map of vvardenfell. if you don't have one, i've attached to this post a segment of the map that illustrates my suggestion.) This will limit our tim on the dangerous open plains. We then go to Vos, and when nightfall hits, we make a break for it; travelling as fast as possible until we hit the receeding shoreline, then hop onto an island and get some sleep in the rocky crags. The next day we island hop to Tel Fyr. How's that?

OOC: pretty nifty use of that feature, huh?
UberBender
Duriel clic- I mean Duriel looked at Eiade's map.

"Looks like a good plan to me."
Fishystick
"I would still prefer going south, but I will accept your plan. as long as we don't stay to long on the open fields, we could make it.", Élsúch said and rubbed his eyes again. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get some sleep." He turned around, laying with his back against the fire and his head on the cape.

"Ah great, we've got ourselves a traveling plan", said tarkél with a big grin on his face. It was midnight by now and pretty cold, even around the fire. "It's getting really cold in the forest nowadays", he said and threw a few logs on the fire.
Hir_Nesta
Seraph was eating the raw rat... He wasn't pleased but on the other hand it was something to eat.
He thought about having a sneak peak into the camp they set up, so he took out his ring of mark and marked the cave he was in. After hiding the Staff under
some stones and grass he started to walk to the camp. Not the straight way though, he approached the camp from the east side. he took off his Chameleon Ring.
After a time walking he arrived near the camp. The fire was still burning...
Eiade

After Elsuch fell asleep, Eiade continued talking about strategies.

"Well going south of the ghostgate is an appetizing idea, now that I think about it. Maybe the fact that it avoids civilization is good. And yes, it is less risky. I'm just frustrated because we've been traveling north for days, and now we have to go back. But it does make sense to go south of ghostgate."
Hir_Nesta
Seraph stepped into the light....
Fishystick
Tarkél turned around so fast he whacked Élsúch in the head with his bow. "What the..", Élsúch started, then he saw the man standing near the campfire. "Who are you then, if I may ask?", he said and rose to his feet.
Eiade
Eiade bolted to her feet, and put her hand on one of her throwing daggers.
Evilsincarnation
Arodom sat still concentrating. Suddenly he opened his eyes.

"I know where there going...."
Evilsincarnation
OOC: I have a connection with the staff, AND whoever is in possesion of that staff. Oh and I have an NPC with me.
Alexander the Great
"Now good sir, it is not proper to walk into an unfamiliar camp without anouncing yourself", Sorrion told this newcomer. He stared him up and down, not sure if he could trust this person. They seemed relatively harmless, meaning they didnt seem like a major threat. "Name your business if you will", Sorrion asked in a crisp tone.
Hir_Nesta
Seraph bowed in front of them. "My name is Seraph and guiding is my business. I heard where you are heading at. Coincidentally my journey starts in Ard Velothi and leads past the southgate and further. My Party was raid and all of them got slaughtered. I could escape thanx to my Rings. And now I stumble into you..."
He took off his hood. A sad-faced Dunmer face appeared.
"I would be glad to guide you: i know the dangers and the paths though the Mountains very well indeed."

He sat down, looking very tired. "Would you mind if I could get some of this tasty...food u got there?" he asked polite.
Eiade
Eiade whispered to Tarkel over his shoulder in native Bosmeri: "I don't think we should trust every stranger who appears out of the dark wilderness. Doesn't Elsuch know the way?"
Hir_Nesta
OCC: well but all the others you accepted them even to join... cool.gif but it's allright, i don't mind happy.gif
Fishystick
"I'm sure he knows the way and I do think he seems strange..", Tarkél whispered back and watched the stranger. "What were you doing here? Are you heading towards Gnisis?", asked Tarkél. "He's been there already", said Élsúch and took a step towards the newcomer. "We're looking for a wooden staff with daedric runes carved into the shaft, have you seen it?", he asked.
FlightlessBird
OOC: MY sweet lord jesus....why have you given me 9 pages of veiw new posts and 4 extra everyday rpg....WHY?!?!!? (comes too his senses) My most sincere apologies my friends. I regret that i have not informed you of my absence for a week while i was in New Jersey. Eiade
OOC: YAAAAAYYY!!! Everyone's favorite high elf mage returns!!! *thanks the gods of morrowind dorkdom that one more person will be able to respond to the rp and give more meaning to his pitiful life*
UberBender
Duriel steped backwards into the shadows and scampered up a tree.

He crouched above the stranger unseen by anyone but the woodelves, whose eyes were sharp enough to pick him out among the leaves.

He tensed his legs, ready to pounce, just in case the stranger had harm in mind.
tyjet3
OOC: Does he have the staff or not?

IC:Tyjet stood and joined Eiade at her side... He then wispered into her ear, This guy might not be so bad... though I don't like how he crept out of the shadows...

"Well, i'll tell you what. Sit and talk with us. Shouldn't ever judge books by it's cover is what I all ways say..." Tyjet turns to Eiade and whispers in to her ear again... Use your talking skills, try and get something out of him, he's hiding something.
Hir_Nesta
OOC: I hid it in a cave. (IC is following after fishystick allowed my post)

IC(authorized):

"Well...as I said, I came down from Ald Velothi with my "not-so-many-left"-party. It's correct what this Bosmer here said; I've been to Gnisis. After the ambush it was the safest place to stay for me. Of course i know many of the caves and ancestral graves around here, but I also needed to fill up my supplies. And if you stay in Gnisis you hear a lot what's going on. I don't have to say that everyone in town is now looking for you." -
"So you're the one who is going to betray us!" said Eiade. Sorrion pulled out his sword.
"No, no! Don't misjudge me! I didn't believe the story the guards told us right away. I think you are on some kinda trip with a good purpose...And this one here said" he pointed on Elsuch, "something about a Staff..."
He made a pause. His face had a grim look.
"I made it. I'm the maker of the staff...I carved it...at least. My Brother Cherub was it who enchanted it.
He was a great Wizard...But then..." he had difficulties to breathe, "the dark "thing" came, stole the staff...much blood was wasted to protect it...my brother...died.
And the evil, he enchanted it with a Red gemstone into a powerful evil artifact...The Staff is not evil....it's the both things together...must find it" his words lost in mumbling.
