Full Version: Hlaalu Horator Problems
I talked to the dunmer in the brown robe in the hlaalu house in balmora, she told me to talk to Crassius, and he jus gives me a book with all the locations of the cousilers. I have tried going to the places where they are and talked to them about everything in their topics list and nothing happens. I'm not sure why but it seems that they wont egnowledge the fact that I am trying to become horator. Is there some step I am missing? I only have the "hlaalu counslers" topic and no topic about "horator". Sorry to bother everybody with the hlaalu problems yet again. Yes I have searched to see if any posts could help me but I found none.

has crassius given you the quest where you have to take of all your clothes?
and are you using the join all houses mod?

This has been stated everywhere at least ten times.
Becoming Hortator has nothing to do with House Quests/Advancement!!!
The only time it does is in Redoran but it dosent affect whether you can become it or not, it just makes it easier.

If the dialogue for 'hortator' is not present then there is something you haven't done yet, AM. Is it present for either of the other Great Houses? Have you been to the Temple of the Incarnate yet?

I'm not sure if it is present with any of the other of the great houses yet, I havnt even attempted to become horator of them, maybe the next thing I will do is check whether or not it works with them. I have been to no temple of the incarnate unless it has to do with any of the temple quests, I am partriarch. If this is the problem, sorry for the semi-noobish post and sorry for accidentally causing flaming. Just please give me directions to the temple of the incarnate and I will try (try mind you) not to make any more posts bothering you guys!

You don't get to be Hortator until you do the main quest and get to the point where you are doing the seven trials. The third trial takes you to the Cavern of the Incarnate where you get given a ring by Azura and meet several ghosts of failed nectarines - er - nerevarines. The fourth trial is to become Hortator of the three Great Houses.
If you get a list of councillors from any of the three Great Houses before this - and you don't have to be a member to get the list - it opens up a quest in the journal. However you cannot do the quest until you reach the point in the main quest I mention above.
So I think you had better do some more of the main quest!

Thanks a bunch malchik, I'll be sure to advance meself through the mainquest then! Hopefully I wont be a bother anymore!
