I've just become Knight Protector in the Imperial Legion and my first mission from varius vatinius was to find the Lords Mail.
Everybody says to speak to Rufinus Allineus but I've already killed him in another mission. Can anyone tell me where to find the Lords Mail because I'm really stuck HELP! :(

i think you have to look under Ebonheart in a grotto/cave.

edit: i mean for the Lord's Mail

why bother getting the lords mail besides to put on a shelf in your mansion anyway, hmm? It really isnt that good...

I needed it to become Knight Of The Imperial Dragon. It isn't that bad

Actually Rufinius Alleius doesn't help much. He gives you the name of a potential suspect and asks you to enquire at the garrison. They tell you the said suspect had the south east (or west I can't recall) room. If you go in there you find a key but it gives no indication of where the suspect is now.

I seem to recall someone other than Ahnassi mentioning the caves. Sadly I can't recall who - and I may well be wrong!

In Ebonheart downstairs behind guards in room, hidden wall like door.

Doesnt the quest giver tells you to look in the shrine and gives you a key to it?

Oh. forgive my alteration mentality. At that level locks havent really been an issue for a long time. Seems I missed out on some detective work.

i had the lords mail before i got the quest.. and also lots of other stuff.. then doing quest for people is simply beautiful and i remember how tough was that guy that i ripped the lords mail of. .. or was it in a chest? not sure.. but it was underground of ebonheart, some cave behind some door

right at the back of ebonheart,behind the main part of the castle,look into the water faceing the back of the castle and you'll see a cavern door,go down there in through the door,there is only one guy and he is wearing it...simple as that.kill him and of course the armour is yours.

northeast of ebonheart under the water, is were you find the guy.

in a floating barrel in the same cave you get the key to the secret door that is in ebonheart.

try getting the dragonbone curaiss. it is southwest of ebonheart(way ou there on a tiny island), in the mudan grotto or somthing or other.(don't forget water breathing potions!!) it is in a locked chest, but i think you find the key some where in there.
