not that i know of but if you have enough skill and time you could make a mod with him in it.

The emperor doesn't exist in Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon. Maybe there is a mod, but I never heard about it.

Actually I don't think it was the Emperor who chose you. It was the Daedric God Azura who speaks to you in your dream in the opening scene. She influenced the Emperor in his dreams too! (At any rate that is what I believe is supposed to have happened.) And you get to meet her several times in the game.

Then...what's behind the door in the temple in Vivec?
Peregrine
Jun 15 2004, 05:54 AM
Vivec of course.
The emperor (and capital city) is nowhere near Morrowind.

Kat

Well no...I hate magic...though sometimes it saved ,y life when I accidentaly was carrying some scrolls/potions...
But no...but what is behind that door?

Jun 15 2004, 07:58 PM
kat,
Play on. You will find out soon enough what is behind that door.
Sometimes spoilers ruin the surprise.
Morrowind is a great game, that sometimes plays like reading a book. If you learn to early what is going to happen, it can ruin the plot.
(although some other members can attest to the fact that a spoiler here and there may have prevented me from getting into the trouble I am in now)

Hmmm, maybe they should start on a new part of The Elder Scrolls...
Like: The Elder Scrolls 4!!
Maybe then we would be in a different 'country' and we could see and be able to talk to the emperor, and yes...KILL HIM SO WE CAN BECOME THE EMPEROR!!!
Well, maybe there WILL be a new installment in the series once...

Of course they will.

TESIV in 2004: When hell freezes over. Any game that was even close to finished enough for a 2004 release would have more than just a few rumors.
TESIV ever: It's inevitable, unless the developers go bankrupt, and nobody buys the license. A sequel game as successful as Morrowind is too good an opportunity for any sane company to ignore.... especially when the world allows one to be made so easily. |

Well the closest thing to the emperor is the Emporer f morowind who you see in tribunal.
Kat
Jun 20 2004, 10:22 AM
What do you mean, there is an Emperor in Tribunal??
I don't have non of the expansion packs since I quit playing Morrowind when I bought it 2 years ago....but now it's getting interesting again...but untill I reach level 40 I don't think it's smart to get an expansion either.
I heard there were even worse monsters, while i still have trouble with the one's in Morrowind...

Isnt there an emperors ghost somewhere along the main quest? Ok, a disguised ghost of an emperor, but still. Nice down-to-earth chap.

*Begs someone to make a mod, so he can assassinate him.*
Kat
Jun 20 2004, 07:56 PM
Hmm...yeah!
You should assasinate the Emperor and become the Emperor yourself!
Then they should implent a Sim city kinda thing to build in Morrowind and to manage stuff!!!
LOOOL!

Now
that would be interesting.
Kat

Yes indeed....but nobody wants to make such a damn complex thing, plus the engine would probably not support it...

I don't know a thing about making mods, but I understand the concepts enough to know this: To make a mod that did that would require so many global scripts, you would need a Cray supercomputer to run it.
Kat
Jun 23 2004, 02:25 PM
Ehm....right...
Seal Man
Jun 23 2004, 05:02 PM
You wouldn't need a Cray super computer, just a decent rig. Anyway about the Emporer, alot of people speculate that in the next game he will die and since Jagar Tharn did away with any heirs the Septim dynasty will come to an end. There is also speculation though that the next game wil take place in the summer set isles and involve Daedra as there is a gate to oblivion there.

How can it be that hard to run on your computer? if you can run a regular Sim City game how is this that much differnet?
NCBeachBum
Jun 28 2004, 09:50 PM
Well, in my mind, it would take a absolutely huge number of global scripts to turn Morrowind into SimCity (if it's even possible), constantly checking all possible variants of any decisions you could have made and adjusting the game world as a result. And the more global scripts that are running in the engine, the more taxing it is on the system. I seriously doubt that it could be made to work at all, but if it did, I would imagine you would be talking about hundreds of new scripts being run all the time.

Remember that SimCity is run with sprites and/or hand drawn art, which uses less memory than polygonal figures. Of course, it would not necessarily have to be from a strategy perspective, just a decision....

you guys are like a bunch of kiddies at christmas! dont worry about TES4 yet geez. and certainly enough dont count on a morrowind realt time world sim game either (unless anyone in the Forums has the cash, skillaz, and time to make one, then i'd be most appreciative). anyway im sure you could just search the web for art of the emperor, but imconfused. if the Emperor lives in Cyrodil that would make him an Imperial right? but hes recieving telepaths from a Tribunal (ok well daedric) god and is very interested in the Nerevarine prophecies so he must be Dunmer, or Chimer. by the way what do the chimer look like anyway?
oh god i swore i wouldnt get tangled with this thread but any question about the emperor would spark my interest!
Dagger of Symachus
Jul 6 2004, 03:48 PM
The Chimer or golden skinned (like Altmer). If you want to see the difference look at Vivec. His left side his dunmer styled skin, his right side is Chimer styled skin. Also Almelexia (Tribunal) is pure Chimer.
The Emperor is so interested in the Nerevarine Prophecies because he knows if they are not fulfilled his great country will be overthrown by Dagoth Ur.

you know that the Emperor is actually in morrowind. he is in ghostgate and under the alias of Wulf he gives you a coin that adds a new spell to you.
but this only happens when you enter ghostgate on yourway to red mountain at the end.

That is not the Emporer- that is an earthly manifestation of the god, Tiber Septim. He WAS en Emporer- the one who forged the Empire with the Numiduim, but not the current Emperor.
