what will be will be.I live my life on a daily basis.Yesterdays gone,tomarrow has not yet arrived!
I think people just want to believe in such theories because it would be boring to think that nothing special is ever going to happen in the span of our lives or the earth's near future. It holds a kind of cool factor to think that the earth's peace/stability/lifeforces will just go kaboom all of a sudden.
These theories are usually an interesting/humorous read to me, but I believe it's just a case of cherry picking past proofs and evidences to make extravagant predictions. Kind of like the people finding links in banknotes printed decades ago and the WTC.
Personally, I wouldn't give too much credit to things associated with ancient civilizations that practiced human sacrifice to their gods, maybe they got a few more things wrong? Why would an apocalypse suddenly occur at the end of a calendar that they devised after realizing their old calendar didn't cut it in the long run?
Oh actually... isn't Palin supposed to be running for president in 2012?

I am not saying an apocalypse will come with any sense and this is nothing about religions. I think the world is going on a dark path thanks to humankind. A world war is made by humans, anyone else.

Oh, the irony...
I too believe that these ideas along with fate, etc. are just another way humans have to comfort themselves that there is something more than just the randomness of life.

End of the world, end of civilization, meteors, Judgment day, discoery of aliens, Zomie virus, PALIN?
I heard many things from mayan calander resests, or moon crash landing on NY
But there is one thing i know for certain that is my birthday.
So either if humity is going to be attacked by martians, or if WW3 will begin with Nuclear missle launches across the globe, i garunte you on thing, i will be havign a good time. for the possible return of Elvis or the revival of Elves.
I suggest you come along with me, well pick up some lightsabers, find the one ring and buy the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy.
You guys can do what you want but i'm going to NOT PANIC!

There are so many judgement day theories how do you know if any of them are real?
I say the whole thing about the world ending on 2012 is a bunch of junk and it won't happen but the only good thing is that it makes people realise that the world could end at any time and you start living life like it's meant to be.

First i need to apologize for my english. I try to improve it everyday.
You will wanna kill me. I dont want the end of the world but i think we (as humankind) should meditate about what we are doing and where we are going. We should try to help countries in difficulties, stop with pollution, stop with finding excuses to justify wars, stop thinking that money and luxury is the best life has to offer, research more, spend more time with children (endless list) etc etc. Things that we already know. I shouldnt had put tha maya thing on the chart becose it become something esoteric. Do you know Macchiavelli? He said that history is made of ups and downs. Usually at the bottom of the down part there is a war. Put it togheter with the today ability of autodestrucion and you have the result. Now putting togheter every problem we have in the world i begin to think that we are approching the bottom of the down part. In the short time i think something will change. If we are rly different from beasts we will improve our life but if we are simply intelligent beasts something bad could happen. I am trying to explain my thoughts. Im not a dark messiah, i am simply analyzing the past history and today humankind behavior. In the end i will post something from WikiPedia about recession.

so how we can prevent destruction on the future
1. keep the earth clean from polution trash on the drain , river everything if we could accomplished cleaning it , but theres no way righ people still throwing up trash on the road and evantually cause polution.
2. stop burning trash instead , we can bury it on the ground thats how we keep the earth clean
3. stop war , thats all we can agree war evantually create human extinctions thats how earth is gonna end
if our country has global crisis financial issue we gotta go through it cuz the country needs money too to pay all our taxes , pay roll , the place we worked in
why we need taxes the usage of taxes is to pay the profit for the workers that contribute the country not just talking about america but other countries are same too we all pay taxes
the reason why we are in the global financial issue , is because the sports , sports demand billions of money just to trade players for winning the game evantually cause a small problem.

but what i know we still progressing the technology too advanced is devastation thats why the goverment nowadays are maintaning order on the progress like i said too advanced we ended up in ugly war too moderate technology riot can happend so yeah
