OK so I try putting them everywhere..some places it works, but when it does, the textures do not show up in the render window, the mesh is purple. Its not very fun to not be able to see anything!! So i tried just extracting the archive to my data folder...but the "nif/object loading error" box came up. Now i think i fixed that problem by moving all of the meshes a little further up from their prison of linking folders, and that stoped the error box, but then i get them in there and they are purple...how can I fix this? I am pretty sure all i have to do is move the textures somewhere too, but i'm not sure where!

did you changed the texture location in the nif file as well ?

I take it you're refering to the world models? When you're not wearing the armour.

There are several mods which I've encountered.

Here is what you should know alreay, or have come accross:

World Models: When the item is on the floor, not equiped or in Inventory
Biped Model: When the Item is equipped and you can see it on your Character

You probably need to design a World Model for it. Or just use an existing one like a Steel Dagger or something? I'm no modding expert though; so unfortunately I will not be as much help as people would want sad.gif

Kind Regards,

OK i guess i should have clarified, this isnt about in the game, and they are just static ayleid pieces just textured differently. I think there was a bad ordering in the original archive because the directory issue seems to be the biggest problem but fixable, wheras the purple i just cant seem to fix.

Just to let everyone know, it was hard, but i did get it all done. It involved a whole bunch of reinstallations and everything, but hey it is done now!
