Im pretty sure this spell was added when I uploaded Midas Magic Spells of Aurum.

I cast night eye upon myself in a dungeon and now the ability seems to of become perminent, its really annoying as I dont want to see everything blue all the time.
I have tried dispell and dispel potions etc but nothing works, I have tried waiting for hours too.

Please help its really annoying me.

Is there somewhere in the data files where I can delete abilitys?

I have tried looking but dont want to end up deleting something vital and fecking my game up.

I dont have a save file for my game where I dont have this ability as I didnt know the spell would be perminent

hmm that is a similar problem with Alexscopions sneaking gear (scorpions eyes) but i dont know a way around it sorry

I managed to get it sorted, with help from searching online.

I will explain how I did it on here just incase anyone else has a similar problem with a spell.

Basicly go into your Program Files and open Bethesda Softworks then Oblivion, in the folder there should be a text document called

LevelUpData_1

Open this with WORD otherwise you get aload of zero's and it makes no sense at all.

Now you have this opened you need to find the number for the specific spell you want to removein my case it was 'Eye of Night' and the spell number 400088EE.

Make a note of that spell number and open up the game.

Go on console commands and type:

player.removespell 400088EE

And it should be removed and you will get a message saying it has been removed! simple.

tyreil829 I dont know if this is any use to you, I dont use that particular mod. But see if the ability is an active effect from a spell and if so then this should help you.

Take the eyepatch off, it should dispell it




An easier method should be:

Recast the nighteye spell, and then cast dispell on self. Hope that helps
