I wanted to install the "curse of hircine" mod, which i downloaded here.
(I already have installed shivereing isles and knights of 9.)
I unziped mod as per directions in readme.
it also told me to install a ??? OSB ??? (script expanded) which it gave the link to.
This installed fine, however running the executable as per instructions (this executabele came with the mod script expander, not the original oblivion.exe) would not work because the shivereing isles version i have is not the most recent.

i have 1.0.2 (or similar) apparently it requires 1.0.4
ofcourse i download a patch to go to 1.0.4 but it wont in stall it says because the "old files"(as it say) have changed, it makes no sense.

another thing i downloaded said i didn't need to update because shivering isles is the most updated?

any ideas

i downloaded it and it dosent work so dont get mad

Be sure you downoladed the right language patch for Shivering isles, and not the patch for Oblivion. Getting the patches out of order sometimes calls for a complete reinstall of the entire game.

If you have to reinstall, ONLY install the latest Si patch and not the Oblivion patch. Do not install any mods until you have tested the game.
