If it does not auto run (a window pops up) after you put the DVD in then go to D:\setup.exe.
Your DVD drive letter may not be D: just browse to your DVD and double click on setup.exe.
Is your Operating System Vista?

I will make this very simple for you, click start then click run and cut and paste what I type below, if the first line doesn't work (D:\setup.exe) try again using the next one (E:\setup.exe) OK.

D:\setup.exe

E:\setup.exe

F:\setup.exe

Did you put the DVD in upside down (the writing should be on top)?
Are you sure you actually have a DVD player?
Sorry for the dumb questions but we have to make sure.

OK lets take a different approach.
While looking at your windows desktop do you have an "my computer" icon?
If so double click on it and look for something that says DVD drive, then tell me what the letter is.

Absolutely, you do not have a DVD drive on your computer, or if you do the software is not installed.
Have you ever been able to watch any DVD movies on your computer?
If not you don't have a DVD drive.
dezdimona
you need a dvd drive to play games

At least if you want to play Oblivion and just about all the other games that have come out after it.

This leads me to another subject I'm afraid.
If your computer did not originally come with a DVD drive than its probably pretty old and may not even be capable of playing Oblivion even when you get a DVD drive.
You should ask someone you know to help you, give them the Oblivion case so they can read the system requirements and compare that to your computer.

OK, but you don't know what your computer specifications are you only know what you need to play Oblivion.

No you can not download a DVD drive, it is a piece of hardware like your CD drive (that thing that has the tray pop out when you push the button) only better.

You can get one at Walmart or Best Buy for pretty cheap now.
