Also need to learn about modding it interests me I think modders are very clever.......

Welcome to Tesnexus.
If this is your first forum experience, you picked the best to start with. This forum has the most helpful members of any I have ever been associated with. Go ahead and ask any question, no matter how silly it might sound and someone will give you a serious answer.
As to chat, this is not a chat room. There is no chat feature on Tesnexus. Most members are not online and pop in and out during the day to check on posts. So chatting will be difficult. You can carry on a conversation, if you are willing to wait long periods between answers. (sometimes 24 hours or more.) Many members maintain separate identities on chat programs like MSN, yahoo or xfire chat.
To learn modding, there are several tutorials available. First, you need to learn the construction set, abbreviated CS. For someone just starting I recommend the Beginners guide on the WIKI, Here:
