MDRud216
Rise of the Undead is an RPG for unlimited amounts of players, it is about the war between The vampires, who wish to conquor the world and the Gaurdians, who are sworn to protect it.

Setting

On the remote Mormura archepeligo active volcanoes push life to the rare inhabitable areas of land. it is made up of four main Islands (see map) and countless secondary islands that stretch northwest - southeast past the curvature of the planet. The climate is about as diverse as the inhabitants of the archipelego, there are deserts, forests, plains and ash wastlands. But the single most feared object is The source, a huge storm a thousand miles across. It has been raging over the planet since the dawn of time and leaves only ruin it's path, whole landmasses have been destroyed by it.

The Source

The Source (as stated above) is a gigantic storm that rages over the planets surface, leaving only ruin in it's wake. Fortunately the storm moves slowely, unfortunately in the last 500 years it has crept from the high seas and over a western island of Mormura, rendering it uninhabitable. The Source gets it's name for the extreem amounts of energy that it gives off, decades after it has passed strange phenomona have been know to occur in those regions. So called mages, or sorcerors are those gifted with the ability to tap into The Source's energy and harness it for their own purposes, most commonly healing, telepathy and other psionics, elemental mastery, or necromancy.

History

Mormura has lacked a specific controlling force, but many cultures inhabit the land. War is a way of life, and as with all the world is still molding the future with every battle that is won or lost. However these wars are between tribes or fledgling kingdoms at best, the real power resides with the darker beings.

Vampires

Thousands of vampires walk the ash wastes, in preperation for the day that their invasion begins, which is drawing near. These foul creatures always apear pale, numerous scars mark their bodies as proof of their eternal life of war. The elder vampires of Mormura are even more putrid then the common, the flesh that remains on their bodies is hundreds of years old, yet will remain for hundreds more, it is a ghastly white, as the pigment has long since left it. It is dirty, and maget infested, rotting flesh is clearly visible. The vampires' origin is unknown to mortals, but most theories point to the evil gods of old who disappeared long ago. The vampires have always been at war with the ancient line of Gaurdians, or protectors. Vampires have numerous bases around Mormura, ussually underground cities, home to about a thousand Vampires.

The Gaurdians Some basic

It is the Gaurdians only who hold the ultimate knoledge, the origin of themselves and vampires. As their records say: The ancient gods, Mormuri and Taturas created all that is good and they governed their mortal lessers until about the year 15,00 after creation. This is when the evil gods Ghaldor and Felfalas' rise to power, they created all evil and battled Mormuri and Taturas for a thousand years. Both sides' power waned, and in a last hope of victory each claimed their "agents", the ones who would continue their war. These became the first of the Gaurdians, and Vampires. And so the time of the gods ended, but with her dying breath Mormuri created a land in her name that would reflect her divine beauty forever. And Felfalas with his dying breath, created The Source to forever leave a symbol of his power and malice. The Gaurdians resemble the vampires in many ways, their intolerability of sunlight being one resemblence. When not suited for war in their dark armor Gaurdian's dress in black robes, hoods drawn up to conceal their yellow eyes in shadow. Gaurdians are based in an extinct volcano on a northern island, a huge towering spire is at it's top. Gaurdian's always apear putrid, as their centuries old flesh is wrapped tightly to their muscels.

Power

Vampires draw their power from The Source, they hold supreme mastery over the supernatural and have the ability to climb up vertical surfaces, no matter how smooth, and can comunicate telepathically to other Vampires. However, for this mastery to be effective it must be fueled with blood, along with their immortality. Vampires also possess uncanny speed, and the ability to jump very high if they are "well fed".

Gaurdians also draw their power from The Source, despite their good intentions. Through that power they hold supreme mastery over wisdom, intelligence and the art of weilding a sword.

Weaponry

Vampires typically use natural weapons, such as their razor sharp claws that extend a full inch from the tips of their fingers or their sharp, infection spreading teeth. Otherwise bows, and short blades are used, Vampires wear only light armor, often chain, depending on their super-human speed and agility for defence.

Gaurdians are masters of the Bastard Sword, lightening reflexes and strength make them the death of any mortal who would try to kill one. Heavy armor, the color of night is donned when battle calls, plated and often spiked metal pervide portection. Other weapons used by them are bows and spears, In the front line of an army specially trained two person spears are extended out 20 feet or more. These warriors are known as pikemen, once their innitial charge is over the spears are abandoned and the pikemen draw their swords.

few, that was a lot of info, and there is still a lot more...

Characters

In this RPG you will either play as a Vampire, or a Gaurdian, believe me they are balanced. I will not have control over who wins this war, however, as the DM I will shape the storyline and provide challenges for both sides seperatly as you wage your war.

Your character sheet will look like this:

Name:
Sex: (Gaurdians are male only)
(Vampire or Gaurdian)
Favored Weapon: (Other than sword for Gaurdians)
Special Attribute: (Speed, Strength, Agility etc. you are immortal remember, you get this on top of your race attributes i.e. Vampires are agile and fast, Gaurdians are intelligent and strong)
Description: (make sure to include what you wear in here)
Profession: (if you say your a smith you can make armor/weapons etc.)

Rules

1. You can control fighting with standard NPC's such as any mortal enemy or Vampire/Gaurdian but be realistic.
2.PC fighting is most definately allowed, make your move and leave it open for a reaction. (feel free to say you strike them and inflict an injury because it will take alot to kill either one of you)
3. Don't skip ahead, such as say you sleep for a few hours, instead say you go to sleep and let events go on then say you wake up later, I will do all "one hour later" deals
4. Don't worry about describing weather or scenery because I will porvide that for you, but feel free to be descriptive, just know what your talking about and be accurate to what i have said.
5. Limited magic is allowed, but follow the "powers" given to you above

That is it, I will start up when there is a lot of people, this RPG is for unlimited amounts!! All other details will be given to you in the RPG thread through the plot and storyline. Go ahead and sign up if you have gotten this far

Concept Art check back here regularly for the newest pictures... Official concept art is drawn by me, and Unnoficial is drawn by my players.

Well, MDRud216, you never cease to amaze. It is my honored priviledge to have participated in the engaging battle that is "A New Power". Never before this board have I been challenged to this extent of my ability in roleplaying, never before have I felt the pressure to surpass my limits and prove myself as great as I feel them now.. It is not simply a duty to rise to an expectation of quality roleplaying, it is a duty to myself to prove that I am the best in my own eyes.

In that light, I would be even furter honored to be able to participate in yet another great war for the survival of man.

QUOTE

Name: Kin'sharion Eserae (Sometimes shortened to Kin, Kin'sha, or some other variant)
Sex: Male
Gaurdian
Favored Weapon: Haleberd
Special Attribute: Strength
Profession: Elder, Tactician, and Warrior

Description: Kin'sharion is a benevolent soul, devoted completely to Tarturas and Monmuri. His devotion is unltimatly expressed in his ever growing vengence upon the vampires and the evil they rent. He is massive, even for a gaurdian, and is perhaps the biggest and strongest of them all.

He weilds a bastard sword and haleberd with grace and precision doted on him only through endless hours of practice. The tremendous force that is his onslaught can rarely be stopped once started, for his shear inhuman strength allows him to take racking sweeps of steel that cleave flanks of men and vampires with ease.

Not only is he one of the strongest, if not the strongest, guardians.. He is one of the eldest. Before most have rememberance, he was there, fighting alongside the great gods of all that was good an righteous. Now he stands alone among those that remain.

Yet, his age has made the look of him even more frightening then his size and presence. His skin is bound in some, but ripped in many places over his body. The result is the exposure of his muscle and sinew beneath. Because of this, men both fear him and hold him with awe and respect, though the fear often outweighs the awe. Thus, he has never, in centuries, been seen without his hooded and robed apparel. He is often known to even use a scarf of light, gauzy material to sheild his face, much as what would be used to sheild one's face in the desert. He also leaves on his night-black, spiked metal gauntlets all the time, which aviods the appearence of his skin.

In his armor, he is even more of an imposing sight then would he be if he wore no robes. The black metal bristles with spikes and protrusions, making it a fatal attempt to grapple him in combat.. Such would mean being impaled on the razor pointed spines. His armor is ornate, though the helmet is most. Twisting metal, bent in spiked double helixes, jut out from the top Like the stems of a rosebush intertwined with one another they are laced back upon each other, set menacingly to inflict fear upon his foes. And the face gaurd is intricatly worked as well, with frightening designs resembling the same rosebush-style theme.

This warrior's profession is combat, his art is death. He lives for it, he is driven for it.. He longs for every glorious moment that is battle, and he longs to slay his fell enemy, the vampires. Long has he plauged them, and long have they known his name.. Kin'sharion rests in the back of every vampires mind when they rush to battle, of that keeper of death looming over them to deliver the final blow and end it all.. What prayers to their demi-gods do they whisper at dawn to ward the blades of Kin'shar from thier bodies and souls before their rest, if the foul creatures even perform such a task?

I hope he's reasonable and doesn't sound like he is really over powered.. It is more adding drama, and the essence of the track record a few hundred centuries of war would earn you. I know I left the profession feild blank, I wanted to give him a job working with the gaurdians instead of doing work as a mercinary or somesuch, but I didn't know how you had that worked out or what your rules were about it.. If you want me to change anything, anything at all, let me know.

And just so everyone knows, I think rule #3 is my fault.. And thumbs up to me for being the first to sign up. biggrin.gif
MDRud216
you did have a part in the making of Rule #3... lol, err... your character is fine and don't be worried about overpower because you are an imortal being that will be at war with other immortals... you are sworn by Tarturas to the protection of mankind, thus your name. But if one is to come between you and your goal, or an army come between you, with ease you would anialate them. Both sides will have battles against humans, but on Mormura the sheer numbers will make it a good fight, the real fun comes when you have an army of 100,000 Vampires charging on an army of 40,000 Gaurdians, they are not organized, relying on sheer numbers to consume the army that stands before them. The gaurdians however, use their strength, and organized strategy. A perfect battle of numbers vs. strategy. Of course revolutionary things will happen in this RPG, such as the uniting of the Vampire cities in preperation for their conquest of the worl- oops I have said too much tongue.gif

being of the elder is fine, these dudes don't die of ld age, nor do Vampires, but their are Gaurdians from all generations around you....

Professions think of it this way, in the army of your "side" are you one of the pikemen, who lead the charge and hold onto one end of the two person spears or are you a seige engineer, or the Vampire in charge of collecting corpses for feeding or... a blacksmith that forges weapons and armor for your "side"...
Shadow of the Fallen
biggrin.gif Well, for the profession, I was thinking of what that staus might have afforded him.. Not nessecarily anything of monument.. But more that he is 1) an elder, and 2) a very powerful foe in combat.. not that nobody else will be, but his very nature makes him in tune with his combat techniques and abilities... Basicly he would be an exemplified warrior, with battle honors and the whole lot.. But how would that be represented in a profession?

While this is niether what I was thinking or a suggestion, think of how a warrior who has shown exceptional abilities of leadership among his peers might be promoted to sergent.. And then to Lieutenant, and Major, and General if he was consistently showing excelence among those of the same rank... They would progress military wise..

But this is different.. I get the feeling that these societies are based with the emphasis on war. Which means to be high in the army means to be high in society, and to be high in society would be high in the army.. To be elder would give him the advantage of experience in opposition to those who were newer and more intellegent.. And it would mean that he was also very powerful to have lived so long.. Really I don't know where to fit him, he isn't a blacksmith, and he doesn't hold one of those massive pikes.. But I see him on the front lines, hacking down people just the same..

So what do you think, am I making any sense? Got any ideas, or at least something to point me in the right direction?
MDRud216
as you may have noticed, Gaurdians are male only... they are not really living creatures... they were all created at once, but then the original, by means you don't know yet claimed succesors and the line of Gaurdian's was born as each generation (so to speak) claimed succesors. Succesors is a bad term because any elder that did not die in battle is still around...

Vampires on the other hand, can create mor of themselves by biting... and the normal way.
Shadow of the Fallen
Here's the understanding MDRud and I have come to about the characters.. Elders and my character in specific. Note that this is all information on the Gaurdians.

First of all, general notes about Elders.
-- They are 6' 4" Generically. None of the original warriors are different from another, except in manners of evolution over the years. For example, one may get slightly taller and bulkier from more combat with heavy weapons and the like. This would not exceed more then an inch or two.

-- There are extreamly few elders remaining, most have died in many battles over the years. And now, because they are so few, and the greatest warriors, they stay behind the battles and use thier wits for strategy rather then direct combat.. If pressed they are fearsome warriors with millenia of experience.

About my character.
-- He is an elder, and he is slightly taller because of his sheer mass. Therefore, while he can be picked out easily among the other warriors because of his hieght. He is not substantially taller then any other elder. On the battle field, his ornate armor and helmet set him apart even more.

-- He is THE LAST of the Elders that still goes into battle, none besides him is so devoted to his gods in this. While he posseses the intellegence and experience that the other elders have, and is just as often participating in devising the battle plan, he also leads his warriors into combat on the front lines.

-- One note, though his hieght does not set him apart with the elders, his girth does. He is not "fat", but rather it is the muscle that adds the width, his shoulders are broad and his arms thick. As before, it is his mass that sets him apart because he is bigger then the other warriors that way.. I hope you understand what I'm saying, maybe Ishould try to draw a pic...

Thats all I got for now, and of course.. MDRud216 can over rule any of this, this is just what I gathered from our conversation over PM last night.

that's right, Shadow of the Fallen... I am just waiting for Thanateros t'o sign up as a Vampire, which I now he will because he tried to sign up as a Vampire on A New Power...
Shadow of the Fallen
biggrin.gif I will go up against any number of vampires, even if I should be the only remaining gaurdian, I would hunt them to the ends of the earth. I highly encourage any player who so desires to sign up as a vampire, in hopes that eventually one can pose a problem for me..

It is good however, to have an ally in the fight.. While he remains a mystery, I know he will be a valuble friend and warrior.

Alla Stoccata!
MDRud216
PC fighting will be encouraged!! but nothing lethal will come out of it, remember both Gaurdian's and Vampires are intolerable of sunlight... all of this will be explained through the stoyline though.

just a note: I will not start this unless we have a minimum of 5 vamps and 5 Gaurdian's, I will have a char, but you will not know what side he is on until I decide you will.
thanateros
Unless this is planning on getting off the ground in the fall I won't be around to post this summer (so it seems being dropped in the middle of nowhere Vermont, don't fret, I volunteered for it and getting paid to do it). I'm going to withhold a character until the fall if it's still running. So don't count me as apart of the intial posters (and yes I will be playing a vampire, most likely a suductress who eats mortal males while, well why else would she be a suductress).
Shadow of the Fallen
All I can say is great, great, and just freaking great. That means 1) We'll all have a love-hate relationship with some weirdo running around... Thanateros isn't starting up with us sad.gif , and we still need 7 people or more...

But i like the standards... And the way this is set up smile.gif So it doesn't bug me so much.
MDRud216
I am sure this RPG will last through to fall if I can get enough players to start...

for all yee folks out there:

to start I need:

3 Gaurdians
5 Vampires

(I have been informed that my link is broken, should be a working one up very soon)
Shadow of the Fallen
Ok everyone, here's the link to the Map, I squeezed it from a 3 meg .bmp to a 211 kb .jpg file.. With absolutlely no loss of resolution. The file was downsized a bit, from 1218 x 775 to 1000 x 636. More "screen-sized" (my screen resolution is about 1024 x 768).

Why did you need to know all that? Cause I thought that 1, I would tell MDRud216 how I got it down to a <30 second upload time on 56k dial up and 2, I wanted to tell the rest of the world how I did it.

Anyway, here's the link.

Also, I have some concept art on Kin'sharion, not much, but it is develping.

Armor Concept -- Haleberd Concept
MDRud216
hehe, I love the involvement my players hav in the RPG, from helping me devoloping maps to providing concept art of their characters... I will get up some art if I can later.
ensis
Hey, I'm drawing some of my character's stuff too! Isn't that funny. When I finish this 'sword' you'll have to see it. Not that I can draw that well, but hey, I like to draw. tongue.gif
MDRud216
We need more players!! and I have a surprise for my char... just thought I would notify you...

I have a theory about why nobody is picking Vampire... because they think they won't win... well there is no set winner it will revolve around player strategy... and there will be a huge plot twist... a hell of a lot bigger than what i pulled off in a new power.
ensis
There he goes again breaking the standards... tongue.gif
Shadow of the Fallen
Damn, means that I have to come up with something even better for my story...

BTW, for all those who aren't joining vamps because you don't think they will win, MDRud's book (which he based this on) is from the Vamp side of the story.. I don't think he even mentioned a guardian..

smile.gif Doesn't mean we wont still give you hell.

SyKoHaVoK
Name: Nyte Flamenhart
Sex: Male
Vampire
Favored Weapon: Twin Scimitars
Special Attribute: Agility
Description: Nyte was born a human. He was training to become a fighter and defender of his family, so he took up the art of scimitar fighting. He was training to use these weapons, with their complex weapon techniques, at the young age of only 14. He trained for four years and by then he was the top of his class, defeating the other students in spars regularly. On his 18th birthday however, alot changed. While walking down an alleyway, a lost vampire grappled him and started to drain him. Luckily for Nyte, he had his scimitars with him and escaped death.......but it only led to a life of undead. The next night, Nyte was a changed person, both physically, emotionally, and mentally. He felt drawn to the vampire cities and left that night. He reached his destination and became one of the evil creatures, with no mind or soul, only the heart to fight and kill.

By his 20th year, Nyte was the most skilled fighter. He was not the strongest, but his agility and ability to strike in critical parts, and being able to dodge most attacks (and the attacks he didn't dodge he could block), was what gave him the expertise. He has only been in the battlefield once before but proved himself quite well. It was against a large army of humans and he proved his worth and gained much respect for all of the corpses left dead by his blades.

From the outside, he appears like a very human-like vampire. His skin is a very pale but hasn't many scars from battle. His piercing green eyes stir something inside all those who view them. Some say that there is a look of the human still left in him, but others view it only as a twisted evil. Nyte stands about 5'6, very thin build. Nytes clothing consists of all black, his long sleeve silk shirt matching his black cotton pants. He looks quite sophisticated compared to most of his kin but he has to because of his proffession. His twin scimitars are kept in holsters at his side and are made out of a purple mythril. There are intricate designs on the sides of the scimitars, the most noteable is dragons on each scimitar, both exactly the same. The great weapon smith of his human town, Killamin, crafted these scimitars for young Nyte once he saw the potential of the young Vampire. They were magically created, because the metal is so hard that no hammer and fire could mold it. He makes no noise in close quarters, sneaking up on his targets like a cat stalking its rodent prey. He has very light hide shoes, ones that are so well made that it takes someone with great skill to hear him approaching.

Recently he has been hired for assassin jobs. Nyte has come up with a disguise so he fits in with humans (his target most of the time.) The disguise is his normal clothes, but with a hooded black cloak and a scarf to hide his fangs and very sharp teeth. He has an advantage because his eyes do not look like that of a vampire, so entering human cities with his guise makes the job much easier.

Profession: Assassin/Infantry

Good lord almighty, its SYKOHAVOK!!

*grins with malice* It will be a long and bloody war, this.

Who you have here is the creator of Azeron, Azeryn, and one of the prime founders (along with me) of Aziltih.. I consider him to be one of the best DnD roleplayers on Yahoo chat to date, and our little group (about 10 active members, 50 registered) has thrived for about a year... You all know me, and you know Thrin from "A New Power", take my word, he will pleasently surprise.

Now, I suppose he has returned to extract a certain justice from this part of the MWSource forums... Bring it on Syko!

(BTW, his choice to play as a Vamp is obvious to anyone that knows him, glad he is up for the challenge of battling me!..)
MDRud216
Sweet... finally a new member... and a vampire at that!! *changing sig....

countdown:

3 Gaurdians,
4 Vampires...
SyKoHaVoK
Heh yeah. My vampire will own all of you! Well maybe not, but it will still be fun. Can't wait for everything to start up biggrin.gif
Shadow of the Fallen
Being a man of my logic, as most men are, I have come to the realization that it would not be out of hand to have fewer guardian PC's then Vampires.. Seeing as they are supposed to have few numbers anyway...

I also realize that the number of PC's playing a race is irrelevant to how many people there are of that race unless they comprise the race themselves and no NPC's are to exist within it... So, while it seems practical in thinking, it isn't nessecarily an evil to have equal numbers of PC's on either side..

More, the attempt would be to limit the number of heads we guardians actually have to be thinking about our combat strategies... Think about it.. If we become commanders of the army, as my char already is in part, then we will have to devise plans.. And if we have more people to come up with those plans.. It seems to disadvantage the Vamps...

Just a thought.
MDRud216
5 for each race is just a personal guideline for me so I don't start with to few players... plus I need at least a party of 5 to develop a decent storyline... and since there will be two I need at least 5 of each party...

I know the map has cities between the populations of 1000 to 10,000 but some cities will have much larger populations than that... but considering the scale of the map the population is very spread out.... anyway by few Gaurdians I mean few compared to the mortal population and the Vampire population...

your char sykohavok is fine... good to have a Vampire but it has reminded me of a few vampire features I would like to point out...

In my RPG Vampires will not be traditional... at all... let me describe them too you...

not repellants... garlic, the cristian cross (duh, this is like a different world), wodden stake through the heart has no signifigance....

repellents: the symbol of Mormuri... (will apear later in some concept art) sunlight,

features: Vampires do have distinct fangs... but all their teath are fairly sharp... designed perfectly to tear flesh.

Vampire towns: they are underground... Vampires do not have a strong social ladder... so that bit about your older friend standing up for you... ehhh... you should change that a little bit. Vampires were created by their god for war and therefore would not really need training per say, probobly just conditioning for weapons... armor.
Shadow of the Fallen
Ahem..ah, what about when they add to their ranks with bites or.. eh.. the natural way. Those people were not created by the gods and therefore have no natural prowess like the rest of the vamps... They may require training, I think.. Meh, you're world, do as you please.

And if you need a party of 5, then a party of five you shall have. I'll just count as three roleplayers and we'll be set. tongue.gif JK..

Just a refresher.. while the guardians were created by Monmuri and Tarturas, they still cannot go out in sunlight correct?... How far does that go? Could they use SPF 9000 sunblock and walk out for a tan? Or would a hood and cloak be the extent of how bad it is... Give us details on exactly what those limitations are if you please.

EDIT: Everyone cheer! It's my hundreth post!!
MDRud216
okay... Gaurdian's can go out in the sunlight... but their powers such as their telepathy and their strength will fade and become useless. In my world all "magic" is drawn from The Source, which you may recall was created by Felfalas, an evil god or god of the night.

so Gaurdian's can go out into daylight but their powers are only active during the night... for they are drawn from an evil source, the same one as the Vampires.

a simple hooded cloak would do the trick to protect their physical bodies and strength though... and it is the reason that they ware the big thick black robes with hoods... for daytime travel.

My character is completely done guys... I will post him after the RPG thread goes up...

Just a teaser: the first post of the actual thread will probobly be longer than the intro thread and immediatly set up the basis for my plot twist.
Jouralto
Name: Jouralto
Sex: Male
Vampire
Favored Weapon: Scyther - A pair of shinning swords that combine to slice up the enemy in a flash of movement.
Special Attribute: Multi-Telepathy (Talks to many vampires telepathically)
Description: Jouralto has many different things about him that make him different. He has a love for short swords, but highly dislikes setting them down, except for perhaps a pen. For what reason is this? He is a master strategist. He has come up with highly surprising Strategies in his life, and does not plan to fall to the Guardians anytime soon. He will never get over his love for weaponry, and hopes to fight to the death. He will never give up on his dreams of "living" life to it's fullest. He has a certain tolerance for the sun, but it is a very low tolerance. If any were to see his clothes, they would be very surprised. He wears a dark purple jacket, and an orange shirt. He also has black pants, so he looks like a very odd vampire. There are a lot of things unknown about his past, however, and even less known about his family.
Profession: Master Strategist poster_stupid.gif

Name: Ulid Prardonad
Sex: Male
Vampire
Favored Weapon: Unarmed
Special Attribute:Dexterity
Description:Ulid is evil and cruel, and marvels in the pain and torture of others. Sired by a rouge vampire,he followed in his masters footsteps, claming allegiance to no one.

Before being turned,Ulid tried to learn the way of the sword. Afterwards, his vampiric master taught him the value of unarmed combat. The abilty to disarm and apponent, leaving him very vunreable. How do parry attacks with his bare hands. All the pressure points and weak spots were bones are more easily broken, rendering a target helpless. How to hound and track prey. Ulid  enjoyed his greatly. He could almsot taste the victims fear when he stood helpless or cowering in fear of him. After his master had taught him all he could learn,Ulid  kiled him. Remebering his treacherous actions to his master,he vowed never to sire another vampire, lest his fate be the same.

Invetably,he was drawn to the Underground city's of the vampires, were he grew to near legendary porportions for his cruelty and skill with his hands. It is rumored he has trained with every master of unarmed combat. There is no way to prove this, beacuse Ulid won't comment, and it's said he kills his teacher after he ahas learned all he could.

Ulid  usually wears purple-black shirt with wide trousers, stuffed into ankle lenght boots made out of human skin dyed black. When out scouting for the army's of Ghaldor and Felfalas, the purple is switched with a blend of diffent shades of brown and a few tinges of green. He constatly wears a similar cloak, but so well made it seems to almost shift colors to accomodate his sourroundings.
Profession: Scout

Hope he's not too powerful. smile.gif
Shadow of the Fallen
While pyro was already part of these forums, though less on the RP side of it, I must claim him as one of my own.. Being drawn by one of the numerous links and invitations I have sent out for this. (I think)

Score another for the Vamps I suppose... Comon guards, join up, before Kin'sharion haunts your dreams! (beware vamps!)
SyKoHaVoK

Flying_Muskrat
Name: Eddenwith Yuoki

Gaurdian

Favored Weapon: Greatblade (An extremely large bastard sword only able to be carried in two hands)

Special Attribute: Endurance

Description: Ed was a normal gaurdian serving in whatever army or something similar there was, from creation to "young" age, and was completely average in every fighting way. That is, until he decided he wanted change for the better. Instead of living out an average lifestyle of your average Gaurdian, he decided to go into self-imposed exile into the center desert, learning vital survival skills and gaining an extraordinary hardiness to just about anything.

In the desert, he made full use of his slight ability in necromancy, ignoring any taboos that the Gaurdians may have placed (If any) and deciding to train in making sand golems. They inexorably helped him, and he's been able to make them ever since.

During his exile, he usually stayed out in the far reaches of the desert for a long time, returning to the desert city for a well-deserved rest and certain magical supplies to create golems, though this rest barely lasted any time at all.

After a long while, Ed finally left his self-imposed exile... and found himself better than his average peers. His old friends were weak in comparison. He found life in the norm from before his desert exile boring. So he gave up his average life, and became a hired mercenary, tending toward thuggery, never resorting to criminal activity, still having a slight moral code.

Ed is dressed in a traditional Gaurdian robe, and has multiple colored robes to fit his surroundings. He makes no clanking sounds as he moves, and wears very little armor, sticking with studded leather in favor of some of the heavier armors. Granted, his amazing Endurance makes up for this lack of armor, and then some. Usually he allows even his face to go bare, unless he's tackling an enemy he particularly hates, then he doesn't even allow himself to look upon him by putting on a helmet with only a small slit so he can see who he's fighting. He does this with all vampires- he particularly loathes them, seeing them defile the dead as they do.

Profession: Survivalist/Mercenary (Mercenary doesn't do much for him, just what he does for money. The survivalist contains all his skills.)

Ello, Syko lured me into this RPG, and it sounds pretty cool. The only thing I got left to say is that the vampires so soooooooo screwed! bleh.gif
Shadow of the Fallen
Sup Muskrat... Are you one of the original Azeryn crew or are you a new recruit to Azeron... or are you just a friend of Syko's? It does make a difference, friend.

BTW, Score another for the guards!!
MDRud216
nice, asking shadow to look up some of his old buds really paid off... that bit about the sand golems is cool, but I am afraid it would unbalance the story a little bit so how about you don't run around making sand golems to kill things all the time, okay?
Shadow of the Fallen
Above me stands the example of why I have been sticking to more.. "Mundane" characters as of late. Fighters mainly, no magic.. (though on Xet I am working on sum stuff, don't know where I am headed with that..)

Just take a break MD, I'll keep him in line *takes out a whip*
SyKoHaVoK
