There is a quest in House Telvanni given by master Aryon in Tel Vos, to kill Raynesa Rethan (I think she is Hlaalu – maybe important).

Unfortunately I went through Aryons quests without being given that particular one. Also there is no dialogue option in Aryon for this quest (there is one for the other kill quest of someone called Banden Indarys or soemthing).

I tried to add the script to Aryon using the console. The id of the script is HT_AttackRethan. So I typed the addtopic command and it seems to work in the sense that a topic is added to Aryon. The topic though reads exactly HT_AttackRethan as opposed for example to the topic of the other kill which is just the name of the other person i.e. Banden Indarys.

Most important of course is the topic doesn’t work as in it doesn’t activate a quest (in fact it doesn’t do anything when I choose it from Aryons topics).

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong here?

Perhaps you are trying too early. The quests are not available until your stronghold reaches a particular level of construction (second level has to be complete IIRC).

Could that be it?

Could be cause indeed I dont have the stronghold finished (even stage 1). I got all the other quests though and I am achmagister now despite not having finished stronghold (which I am still waiting after like 10-15 days or so).

Something is not right. The stronghold level one only takes one week game time. You have been using the console to give yourself quests and (I believe
I read elsewhere) to play all houses. It shouldn't be possible to build more than one stronghold as all three are started together and continue to grow at the same rate. Therefore if you started as Hlaalu or Redoran and have their stronghold you will find Telvanni is already complete. You can lay claim to it. If you play Telvanni first the woman you refer to is the owner of Rethan Manor on the Odai Plateau. However if you play Hlaalu YOU are the owner of this stronghold and Reynasa Rethan (sp?) never appears. Aryon can't give you a quest to go and kill yourself. Also you probably already killed the Redoran guy Branden Indarys (or something like that) so Aryon can't give you that quest either.

Yeah, it actually makes sense except that Aryon did sot of give me the quest to kill Indarys (a Redoran) since I havent join Redoran yet. He didnt quite give it to me but it was an option in the dialogue and when I click he said I have already killed her so its ok. But I did get a journal entryand it does show as a completed quest in my journal.

Last q on this: Where is the Telvanni stronghold and Redoran as well for that matter?

Telvanni is at Ulvirith's grave (it should show on your map) in the middle of nowhere quite a way due north IIRC of Molag Mar. The Redoran Stronghold is at Bal Isra west and a little north of Ald Ruhn.
