Hi Dark0ne,

This is kind of an odd request. It might well be out of your control but im going to try anyway.

I could visit TesNexus from my work internet a few months back, but its recently been blocked, tagged as "games". But since the FO3Nexus has launched, I can visit this site no problems.

I was wondering if it would be possible to remove the "games" tag from the website so i can access it just like Fo3Nexus, or is this something solely related to the works Firewall?

Just seems strange as the sites are nearly identical that I can access one and not the other.

Thanks in advance

That's something internal to your company. If you're at a large company then they'll have an IT guy there who monitors all the sites people visit and blocks "inappropriate" work sites from being accessed. Alternatively if you're at a mid-sized or small company they'll have outsourced this to a third-party who will have (rightfully) tagged the site as a gaming site.

Nothing I can do about it, sorry.

No problem, didnt think it would be something you could directly control but worth a shot.

I actually work at Abbey (National) so theyre pretty big, shame they dont know about FO3Nexus yet though muhahahahaha.

Thanks for speedy reply.

Well, the more you visit the site, the more likely it will pop-up on their radar and block it. wink.gif

Get firefox portable and put it on a flash drive, it will bypass the filters. Run the browser off the flash drive do not install it on your work computer.

Use at your own risk, it is your job on the line if they don't like it.

I doubt they are tracking Internet usage via the Internet browser history or anything on the actual PC. Any company that uses a hardware firewall has the capability of tracking Internet usage at the firewall which will map back to their IP (PC) with a location of where he/she was at, how long, how much bandwidth used and their ID if authenticated.

It is usually a good idea to use such portable apps to help in your favor but just know there are ways of tracking that are completely outside the individuals control.

You might also want to check into the web browser called Browzar.
