Hi do you need anyone to help moderate the mods for Fallout 3? I run my own website and moderate the mods there. I also have a large amount of experience modding and would like to contribute to the site.

Cheers.

I don't know if it's gonna be that easy to get a position. Especially on a site of this size.

Good luck anyways.

No worries I like Oblivion and Fallout so thought I would offer to lend a hand.

Cheers.

A few people have asked me recently about this. As has always been the way on my sites, moderators are picked by myself and the other staff of the site when we feel the need to bolster up the ranks. We shortlist a number of candidates we feel would excel at the job and then approach them on the matter. So rather than me being asked, I am the one doing the asking.

Thank you for your offer and wish to help. It is appreciated smile.gif

i think people who are not moderators can still help with the forums by reporting posts that break the rules and pointing out problems for other modders and help them fix it

A very valid point. Well raised!

Becoming a moderator won't be that easy. You gotta earn the privilege from Dark0ne himself. You can however, do as I do. Help report disruptive behavior to moderators, of course anybody can do that. thumbsup.gif

Even though that I'm also interested in helping to make the site a safer community, if the staff feels I'm fit for the job, they could make me join the ranks, but it's not always going to be me who might get reinforced to the ranks. Dark0ne and the staff decide whether or not support could be used from others. He chooses those who are most responsible, and have been on here long enough to understand the rules, and basically reporting.

My recommendation though is follow the rules what they tell you, keep reporting disruptive behavior, especially don't respond back to flammers/trollers, and such. The report feature is one thing you can offer to help the staff do their job.

Once again, the decision is in Dark0ne's hands.

There a thing you need to understand about moderating.

1. You can't just register to a board, and expect to be a moderator (I know you never did this) but from my experience in the past.. People who have asked me if they wanted to become moderators, I gave them a week to see how they are. They broke more rules than the community.
You shouldn't ask to become a moderator, as people who do, likely abuse their power.

2. You need to be good with dealing with the community, as there will be a chance you will be flamed heavily if you ban somebodies friend.

3. Report innapropriate posts when you see it tongue.gif

4. Give positivev and negative feedback on peoples mods wherever neccessary, tell them how the mod can be improved.
Not posting things like

"This is Crap" or whatever <--- LHammonds will be the one of those crapping on you wink.gif

5. Show respect for others - They have as much right to be here as you have - Apart from the guys who are banned tongue.gif

Kind Regards,
