Hi there,

I used to play Oblivion without the new patch ( v1.2.0416 ) and everything was perfect.

Since I installled the patch I noticed that the game was a bit slow when I was running .

My computer is brand new and I running it with a GeForce 9600 Gt. I do play with mods but I deactivated all in the data files menu and the laging problems are still there (I also tried with and without the unofficial patch).

thanks and forget my poor english!

Yes, there are bugs and issues which are still present in the 1.2 series of patches. It's just that people stopped caring since you need 1.2 or SI for many of the larger, more interesting mods. But, there are alot of things which can cause a loss of framerate without having any mods active. Just a couple of texture changes can occasionally put you over the limit of what your card can handle. 1.2 applies a noise shader to LODs, and that might be playing a part.

Even though you have installed 1.2.0416 there remain thousands of bugs & glitches that were not addressed by Bethesda. These have been corrected by the Unofficial Patches (the latest versions of them require 1.2.0416 in order to work correctly).
