QUOTE

Faith

Preached by His son, brought forth by the twelve
His children hunted, their blood marked the dust
Their faith did not linger, their heads raised to the sky...

Tides changed, Ages passed
Now the Book remains closed, no longer is the blood being repaid
Forgotten are His words, His son no more but a tale...

As moon and sun pass by, their ends draw near
Fear fills their hearts, not knowing what to come
Seeking a hole, seeking an escape from the maze.
They seek redemption

To who do they turn?

The poem goes about something that is more frequent the last years. Many people lose their faith in puberty but when their time has come, they all of a sudden turn back to their faith. I find that a bit hypocrite.

I'm sure Malchik will point out any grammar mistakes I made since I dont speak english myself tongue.gif

Your English is good PR so I think you can speak it. I know that it's not your first language.

Three points of grammar
one - 'his son but a tale' or 'his son no more than a tale' either would do.
two - 'not knowing what's (i.e. what is) to come' or 'not knowing what may come'
three - 'to whom do they turn'.

The poem is Christian based. Do those of other faiths have the same doubts in their teen years?

BTW it is not hypocritical to return to beliefs if you then adjust your life to show you are a true believer - atoning for sins, giving money to the poor and needy etc. It is hypocritical if it is done as a kind of insurance policy and at no personal inconvenience!
