With Photoshop you could give it a try, but as said before, You won't get rid of it completely.
When using Photoshop, you could load the body texture, create a copy of the layer and delete the original one(no worries, you will not delete the texture. I however recommend making a backup). Then go to Adjustments and choose one of many color tweaking options(I prefer Saturation/Hue) and change the levels of red and green.
I tried it myself once, but gave up since the result may even look worse. If you want to experiment, you could also make a screenshot with perfect light and load that as well into photoshop. Like this you could compare the modified body texture with the throat texture.
