How do you become the Hortator of a house... I was told to go to the Hiaalu House in Balmora, and be named Hortator, how do i do this? PLEASE dont tell me I have to join the house >.<

Nothing like that. In the main entrance,there is a Dumner woman in a brown robe.Talk to her about bing Horator. She will send you to Crassious Curio(sp?),were you ask him about being Hlaalu Hortator. After you kiss him,you have to go around and convince the other Haalu consilors to give you there vote. Just ask Crurio about the councillers and he will give you a book with all there locations.(I can remeber this beacuse I just got finsihed being Hortator for all the houses. )

Go to Saint Olms(I think) plaza. There is a haunted mansion. There is a set of stairs going down,where there is a locked door. He is in there.

I am now the Hiaalu Hortator, and now working on the Redorian ones, i dont even know when to begin... first i went to "Miner Arobar" and when i asked him about the council, he didnt believe what i had to say, and said i was nothing more then a imperial spy, and an imposter...

What do I do?!

For every house, there's one 'liason' who's always reasonable and helps you to get on with whatever quest you may have. For Redoran, it's Sarethi. For Telvanni, it's Master Aryon. Hlaalu's 'friendly' is Crassius Curio, though his M.O. is somewhat questionable. Talk to the liason to get the other councilors to speak reasonably with you, and even turn the tide of most quests.

Where do I find this "Sarethi"?

In Sarethi Manor, Under-Skar.

Next question... I cant find Morvayn... When i went to her Manor, i was attacked by Corprus beasts! Where do I go now?

She has a room in the Redoran Council manor (the place with three doors in Under-skar). Her room is in the giant room with all the service providers.

Where do I find Master Aryon?

Aryon can be found at Tel Vos. His office is a little hard to get to though, you need a levitation spell/potion/whatever. There's a little plant blob-like thing with a door on it up in the area with the imperial style fort, just north of the town itself. You can levitate up there and go inside to get to Aryon.

Yet another question

I talked to all of the council members for Telvanni, yet no one has actually made me the hortator yet,... and they all agreed!... arnt i supposed to get some type of item or something confirming it?

Are you sure you have everyone's vote? Once your shure(sp?), then go back to Aryon and just go down the list of topics,clicking on them till you have the right one.OR,you could find the Tellvani Hortator topic and click on that. He'll give you the Robe of the Hortator.

Been a while since I did the main quest, but if I recall correctly, to become Telvanni hortator, you must go back to the guy who originally helped you and talk to him, and he will tell you that you must kill the top dog, who will procrastinate and never make you hortator. Then, after that guy is dead, he becomes the new #1 and he will make you hortator.

i was doin an imperial quest when i was gonna kill hm but talked to me and he made me hortaror after bribing him a whole bunch of money

I dont think the guy from Gnsis is who you are suppose to ask. He isn't in the council until you do the House Telvanni quest to become a mouth.
