So far I've done strawberry cake, fish steaks, and cooked versions of the beef, ham, venison, and mutton. Been kicking around some others to release once I've gotten a little package together. Here's what I have so far, toast and fishy sticks:
The cake is available in Tamriel Snacks:

Wow, quite awesome, I dare venture that the awesome level on this is over 9000. The fruiting on the cake looks extremely well done and realy reminds me of portal

.
Soooo, when are we getting a nice alchemy-like cooking mod?

Here are a couple bowls of cereal I just finished to add to the spread, inspired by the late great Jannix Quinn, who was working on similar items before his departure.

EDIT: How about cinnamon rolls? Haven't seen those in the game before.

While I'm at it, here's a single slice of that cake. Starting to run out of room on that table...

Very good
But this mod is ready ?

Unless I think of other things to add, I could release it today. I just need to fix the size of the toast, which I had to scale down in the CS. And I don't think one of the cereals looks good enough, even in a little bowl. Maybe I need a little dish of tartar sauce and a bottle of malt vinegar for the fishy sticks. Pancakes?

mmm! Yes to the condiments!!

and pancakes! And syrup? and sausage and bacon?
Will the food items go on any plate or are they stuck to the plates their on? Any thoughts on side dishes for a main course?

Not sure about syrup. Pancakes themselves will be easy to do, but putting syrup on them it might be complicated. Actually, I can think of one way to do it, but I'll have to make a full stack stuck together as well as the individual pancakes. All the items as they are right now are edible food items, and none of them are stuck to the plates, except for the cereals.
After I release the ones pictured here and the ones I mentioned above, then I'll consider new items for another pack. ^_^ Don't want to keep people waiting too long by adding too many things.

Okay, so here's the current spread, and I think I'll stop here for now. Anything else will go in Food Pack 2.

Closeup on the fishsticks with condiments.

EDIT: Okay, little problem. Despite having collision meshes and being marked as "food items" in the CS' ingredient box, most of the items cannot be moved. The cinnamon rolls and the vinegar work as expected, but all others when taken and then dropped will float in midair and won't fall. What might I be doing wrong?

I am not sure, but I think you have to add weight to them or they float.

And just for the sake of clarity, I wasn't expecting the syrup to be pourable, I just wanted it on the table -- as a condiment. I mean if I could have anything I wanted!

And even if not, these are really just wonderful! Thanks for working on them!

I spent many frustrating hours trying to get it to work, and I did have weight on the items, both in NIFskope and of course in the CS entries themselves. If this does all get cleared up, I'll add a bottle of syrup.
(BTW, I appreciate the encouragement)

News on this mod ?
Tchos
Oct 21 2008, 10:42 PM
Of course, and I was also composing some update news on my tower mod, which I think should be done within a couple of days. With the help of SickleYield, I now understand how to make the collisions work properly. I'll switch to the food instead of the tower, since the food will probably be faster to finish.

All of this looks fantastic and I'm sure it'll be downloaded many, many times. Great work you did. About the problem of items floating in the air, when you figure it out how about making a new mod? You could make disks that the player could throw out to walk on or to get to those high places. Something like Magneto did in the second X-Men movie.

It's figured out, it was part of the collision problem. If you want disks you can throw out to hang in the air that you can walk on, I think the way to do it is to have a collision object on the mesh, use static settings when saving the NIF, but define it as a clutter object in the CS.

OOOO! Not me. I have too much work to do already with the Pellucidar Project but I would still like to see that mod

Okay, the final spread. And I added the syrup. Just need to tweak the collisions on the syrup and the cake, and I think it's done. I hope the "brute force" collision boxes aren't annoying. They're a lot like most of the clutter in the game, liking to float up a bit off the surface you put them on, but it was either that or watch them fall right through the floor.

Should be ready to upload by tomorrow.

Hello Tchos,
Kudos to You!...Your items look great!
I am looking foward to watching you grow... as a modder ~ I can tell you have even more potential in you!
These kinds of mods are very specific, so I hope you enjoy the satisfaction of modding, the same way I do, and realize that even if our type of mods don't exactly set the Oblivion world on fire, they are appreciated by all here!
Keep it up!
David

Yes, I don't expect my mods to cause a big splash or anything, but they've been good experience for learning Blender, at least, and I do get satisfaction in seeing people enjoying them.
And it has been uploaded!

These are fantastic and look really well done. Great Job
One question - no problem with level lists/FCOM/OOO etc etc is there?
Doubt it but just checking!
Tchos

No, I didn't touch any leveled list, I just made an extra vendor chest for Augusta to sell from. Her original chest and inventory is unaffected. These items don't appear in any list, the only place to get them is from the hotel.
