Full Version: ah rats! moving house (in the CS)

I downloaded a mod and irritatingly, it is using the same cell as my Dragonfire Trade and Transport, Anvil, location. Why on earth would anyone stick a house there?? I could have sworn it was zoned for commercial enterprise.

Well I tried moving it in the CS. I just put it close by. What I didn't count on was the hill that then protruded through the living room.

Back to the start.

hmm this is more complicated than I thought. What do the experts say?

Now I'm thinking, the person who created this house, didn't even prefix his changes with his initials, or anything else and didn't name the home in the CS, like most other well-made house mods I've attempted to analyze. Maybe I shouldn't bother. But then again, with a little improvement, maybe this will turn out great.

On the other hand, I love that dumb Trade Post company, but it has so many error messages when it loads into the CS, that maybe it should be scrapped. BUT maybe I can learn to clean it up? That would be helpful and useful, right?

And then I remember the gloves I've been working on in Blender.. which is where I really want to be. This is my last few hours to do anything at all oblivion related until Sunday probably, unless I wring a few moments out here and there through tomorrow.


Ok I'll spend another 30 minutes on this move, but after that I'm playing with GLOVES.


While the article posted above is really great, Any More tips on navigating the CS for this type of work would be appreciated.

I know, that's why I didn't bother you with it. What a royal pain. I swear blender likes me better than CS3 (ie photoshop) and the CS combined.

The "Alchemist's Hut" came from Oblivion Real Estate, I think there's a link only for non-members, here's the Member's Area description:

Ok, great! I've downloaded and I'm testing now.

Oops, ran into a little problem, I should turn off the original dragonfire esp? If I have both the Original 007 Dragonfire Trade and Transport, and the fix, I get a CTD right away. If I load only the fix there's no trading post at all. Sorry to be a pain!

that's very odd i didn't set as a active file... try without DTAT

better yet try conflict detector on OBMM

Yup I did those both, without the main Dragonfire plugin there is no trading post. Do you want me to post the results of the conflict detector?

Isn't this the notorious Tamriel Wilderness Cell that's not supposed to be changed? I don't know.
