I am wondering if it will be at all possible to patch/mod the Australian version of fallout 3 (after it's released) to make it how the game creators intended since our ridiculous government decided to ban it then retract the ban after the game was edited severley.
The main gripe they had was about drugs being used as rewards for quests, and of course the violence. I don't want to have to import it, mainly because i can't decide on what platform to get it on, but i do want it to be the "real" thing. After all who watched Basic Instinct for the story line?

AFAIK Au has unbanned Fallout 3...

Really? Oz had banned Fallout 3? Huh. You would think that they are more lax than the U.S... I mean, when I was there, they sure seemed to be... Heck, they didn't even edit movies on TV for "inappropriate content!"

Ah well, every country has it's own reasons...

Oh, and it will probably be possible, after about half a year or so... there will be someone who decides to fix it up... or you can probably DL the UK patch. I'm sure that will work just fine...

Of what I've read the gruesome violence aka the "bloody mess" perk was fine & dandy but the use of a prescribed drug morphine was a no-no.

@OP assuming the PC version has a CS or a GECK it ought t0 be a quick fix

Regardless, I would say to get the PC version, atleast then you have the slim chance in being able to do anything. Console versions of PC games also have a tendency to suck ass, even when mods aren't involved...

The Uncensored Witcher was only rated 15+ in Australia and the US wouldn't even release that version as 18+ I believe.

US players had to import or mod for uncensored.

Go figure.
