Theres something I'm quite interested in possible doing when I return from Alaska..
Is it possible to set up a script, to randomly remove so a set number of creatures or items from the game?

Would it work on Silt Striders?

Yes, as long as you give every Silt Strider that should have the possibility of removal a unique ID.

Well, you could probably make do with only one ID and one script if you take a simple and decentralized approach to the process, but something like that would be impractical if you need to check where each strider (STRIDEEERRRRRRR! -- obscure Half-Life 2 reference) is.

do you want to remove all silt striders?

Eventually, all of them..
But remove 10-20 of them at a time.

just group them if they disapear one at a time then all need to be unique if groups at once then each group just needs to be unique from the other groups
