Hi, Im making a LOTR Mod pack. it features new races, Lotr lore, items, meshes, NPC's and hopefully quest. The thing is im not good with scripts and meshes/textures and theres alot of stuff going to be made, so if anyone wants to help, it would be great. If you want to help, email me or post or both.

I did, i was going to ask the people that made them if i could include them in the mod. One of the things that im gonna do is take the dwarven rings of power that were not found by the enemy and hide them in caves, to be like how they were lost in the mines. Also the One Ring will be chameleon 90% because in the hobbit it says you can see the shadow in daylight and night eye, and firedamage 1pt on self so you cant wear it forever. also the ring will be held by NPC Sauron in his fortress. The other dwarven rings will be held by his minions, the elven rings by their respective owner NPC's and The nine of the men belonging to the Nine Nazgul. Orc races and others will also be made.

You will find a lot of resources out there: Hobbit holes, a Middle Earth project clothes & items.

i could use that to make some Lotr style guards/soldiers and the orcs will need weapons too. thanks for the heads up.

i would also look up Conan_Lon (known as LHammonds on here) he had a mod that adds some shields into the game with the shields is a Gondor Tower Guard Shield as well as another Gandalf sword
the Mod is called Medieval Shields

I remember fairly well that there was a LOTR TC in the works. The whole project was stopped though, I've heard that Beth had a problem with it for some odd reason.

nope it was scrapped because CS couldn't take it all it was very very very big after all + it woudlnt be beth that have a problem with it, it would be the LOTR copyright people who would

Nope.
But I don't realy understand how the CS "couldn't take it" if they made the worldspace too big they coudl've just simply divided it into several worldspaces and link them together - like how it's done in WoW.

if you dig around in the weapons and armor Category you should come across the English version of the ring wrath set

First off, the Middle-Earth Role Playing: Total Conversion, hasn't been stopped. It has been brought up in there forums, and the modding progress is slowing a little.
Oblivion can only have 20 quads, or some other thing like that, or the game won't work. Vanilla Oblivion uses 16 quads I do believe, however, The Grey Wizard (Leader of the Project) said he knew a way around this, one of which is simply to de-activate the Oblivion ESM, which will remove everything Vanilla Oblivion.
Now, to go a little on topic, I want to say good luck! I myself am working on a mod, that should be released soon, which will be simialar to what your mod sounds like. Basicly, it adds Races from Middle-Earth, and integrates them into the wilderness. The first release will include Urak-Hai...
Anyways, I would like to help. I am primarily an Interior and Exterior designer (as well as landscaping) and I am beginning to learn Scripting, and can create some basic scripts (including simple quests.)

Yep, but there is none that makes them a NPC that you can find wandering about, with some complex (or at least as complex as it gets) AI/Scripting. As well as a quest or two and a few weapons and armor. So far, I only found two races that I like, an Uruk-Hai and a Ringwraith one.
