I was wondering what people think is the better one to become because i hear alot about only being able to be one and not the other. I would like to alo know reasons for each one being better.

You can become a vampire, get cured, then become a werewolf.
To my knowledge you cannot be both of them at the same time. Well... technically you can, of course, but not in the way the game means it to be played.

Vampire, cus I have the "vampire embrace" mod that makes dialogue avaiable for vampires at very high disposition. It also allows you to turn other NPCs to your vampire servants... and there is no such mod for werewolves, at least I think.

Werewolves SUCK. They can't pick up or hold anything (they just drop everything when they turn into a wolf). Their intelligence and personality is at 0 (but only when they're a wolf).
I just don't like werewolves in general.
At least you can use Magic when you're a vampire. And you can do alot more things.

id be a vampire because its just a vampire i mean come on who wouldnt be 1 if you had the choice.
werewolf cant hold equipment
cant use items
cant access inventory
have to kill to stay at a gd hp lvl
you can only attack with your hands (claws)
vampires i think there is only 1 drawback and thats the daylight.

I'm not going to go in depth [all point having previously been mentioned], but I'm just going to say that not only are vampires more practical, they are much more cool. I mean, anyone that's seen Hellsing or played a Castlevania game knows that. I mean, Alucard can.....well, that's getting of topic. But seriously. Vampire all the way.

I would say the major drawback to a vampire i would say is that they cannot talk to anyone (except the mages and telvanni) and you loose many quests and other things tha tyou can do. The day light problems are no big deal to be and can easily be prevented.

I'd say werewolf, for one you can turn it on and off once you get hircines ring. second, you dont need armor or weapons, i have taken plenty of people with the werewolf.third, if you DON'T have hircines ring you can at least walk around in the daytime and do things like normal. the only bad thing i dont like about were wolves is the fact that in the da you might try to use a silt strider but during the transport it becomes night so you transform when you get there and everyone sees you

I would say to go ahead and play through bloodmoon as a human, get hircines ring (the final prize) which allows you to turn into a werewolf whenever you want to for 12 hour periods. that way you could be a vampire and turn into a werewolf whenever you wanted to.
Otherwise, be a vampire, there was something just not satasfiying to me when I played as a werewolf....

That's definetely not a bad idea to utilize the werewolf abilities.
Vamps have their benefits no doubt but I think that little trouble with sunlight and socalization kinda negates that
Werewolves are good when brute force is needed, or better still when you need an 'alter-ego' of sorts to solve problems that would get your character in trouble/killed; for example, consider this senerio:
In the fort last night, a ravenous beast with ferocious fangs leaped over the unpassable stone wall. Without the aid of the knights and guards in the main courts, the archers found themselves quickly overwhelmed...their steel arrows and darts barely able to pierce its deep-furred hide. Strangely it charged straight for the jail cells, slaughtering the few soldiers stationed within. Blood and gore everywhere....
Hours later, after the dawn and the beast's mysterious disaperance, it was noted the evidence chest had been broken into...but given the carnage of the beast there were no witnesses to the crime.
....who would have suspected Vercrin, the mere level 17 wood elf?
So long as you transform discretely, which isn't too hard with the HUNDREDS OF MILES OF EMPTY WILDERNESS in Vvanderfell, using a werewolf isn't too bad.

Yes with a warewolf i was able to kill anything on vvanderdell at level 1(chargen werewolf mod) i could rush into vivecs little room and completely masacere him. I would think it could overpower most things in tribunal too but i never got around to going there.

i'm for the vamps cause being a werewolf is kind of annoying. you have to feed every night and stuff. plus.. vampires are more refined, reserved, and intelligent.
many say that it sucks being a vamp cause no one likes you. this is also kind of good. if someone has an expensive object on them, just keep talking to them and they'll attack you! you dont even have to taunt or frenzy. you can take all their stuff.
plus, with a werewolf, you get major stat pluses only during the night, but a vamp has them all the time. (it does kind of suck for vamps that you can only go out at night though).
also, special vampire "houses" give you even more stat pluses, like the theiving house Berne, the fighting house Quarra, and the magic house, Aundae.
vampires are in many ways superior.

i dont like that once you r a werewolf like when u change at night that u have no access to anything (items weapons etc) but i guess it makes sense
