Hey all,
I was doing some editing with the CS, pretty simple stuff.
All i did was go into the NPC listings and change all the guards into female (by checking the female box in the edit window). When playing, all npc guards I encountered remained male.
This ESP is loaded last, so it should overwrite any other NPC changes, but just in case, I disable all other mods to test it out. So far no luck. Does anyone know anything that could help?

Sonck is right they dont have Female voices its a bit of a shame you could do slient MP3s for dialoge and voices or sound record your own!

I'm confuse with what is being tried, the OP doesn't mention voices. Indeed I don't know if he is trying to change just NPCs he created or the whole vanilla set.
About the voices this is because all the guards were male and females were added/changed by the overhauls.

I am trying to change the whole vanilla set of guards into females. (I believe all guards should appear in the NPC window, and all are imperial males).
I can even get the CS to preview any specific guard in the render window after applying my WIP mod-- this works correctly, guards are displayed female, but only in the CS. In game they are male! (To check, I kill them in game via console and remove armour)
I was not trying to change the voices, (that will come later if I can get this part to work). I don't think the lack of female voices should matter in this case, all that should happen is the guards would be female but have male voices.
I did try with a save at the sewer exits, perhaps I should try a completely new game?

When changing vanilla NPCs in significant ways, a new game is pretty much needed. Even then it may not work in this case, and that's probably a good thing in the long run. The downside of changing vanilla NPCs is that they all have faces which are controlled outside the CS and facegen. This means that even if you could change the gender or race of a guard, their face would have the same texturing, resulting in some rather disturbing images.
It is suggested that rather than alter existing guards that you just make a series of new NPCs which are setup as replacements, and remove or disable the existing guards. There are voices and meshes for female guards for most towns, OOO adds some female guards, but you may be a bit limited by race.

Thanks, I have had some success with npc replacement. Unfortunately, its slow work, but I should be able to finish it slowly and surely.
