What creatures look the most powerful, dangerous, scary?
from the pathetic rat to the monstrous minotaur.
It dosen't matter how powerful they actually are just how strong they look.
I mean the big xivillia (a powerful daedroth spelt wrong) dosen't look nearly as
scary as a land dreugh even though it is more powerful.
So.... what do people think?

I think the minotaur looks the scariest
The most dangerous that I've found are the goblin warlords, especially if you have to fight more than one at a time.

Heh, sneak changes most

For me it's any summoner durable enough not to die by one sneak attack. Such as spider daedra at medium levels, for example, or spriggan at lower. Thankfully, they are still not as healthy as the most dangerous opponents in "fair" combat.

From Marty's monster mod I would have to say the Clannfear Matriarch and the Lich Lord.
The Clannfear looks like a giganotosaurus and the Lich lord has got to be over 15 feet tall.

Not the most horrible, even less the most fearsome creature in Tamriel, no doubts. But the one that startled me the most was a... mudcrab... yes, no joke.
First time I saw Cyrodiil in all it's mid morning glory. I had just get out the sewer and was, open mouth, marveled with the scenery when something bite me hard almost letting the health bar empty (or it was already compromised, don't recall) but doesn't matter... I, myself more than the PC jumped high out the chair

I have to say rats are the scariest for me
I mean land dreaughs look freaky but at least you can see them.
with rats its just what the.. BANG!!
When I first played Oblivion I completely underestimated rats and got quite a shock when one lunged at me.

land dreugh are the coolest looking (BTW i read a vinilla tes4 book that compaired the land dreugh to a sea dreugh, is there a sea dreugh?)
InfiniteRealm
Sep 7 2008, 11:32 AM
The sea dreughs featured in one fo the other ES games, not sure which one though.
In response to the many rats are the scariest ones, I quite like the rats. Catch them with a power attack when they leap at you and they go flying all over the place, great fun.
The enemeis that look scariest to me are probably the land dreughs. I rememebr when I firt saw them..Was going back to a fort I cleared earlier, went into the keep and a billy appeared otu of nowhere. Scared the hell out of me

Hate ogres with a passion. Sometimes I just go out in search of ogres to kill.
Although land dreughs are probably the most scary looking.

sea Dreaughs are from Morrowind. I first discovered them level 1 just starting off the game.
I though "hey theres a guy swimming off in the distance"
So I swam over there and as I got closer I relized this "guy" had tentacles and was attempting to inflict pain on me.
KILLED ME TWO SHOTS!!!
I WAS LEVEL 1!!!!!
But anyway you probably don't want to hear this old Morrowind veterans ramblings

Scariest thing iv seen so far, comes from MMM.... I think anyway.
I was in Leyawiin chapel, late at night, decided to go down into the Underdroft to practice a bit of ranged combat on the ghosts down there. As i was sneaking round the corner I hear a deafening scream and this flash of white light darted across the room a few times then came straight at me still screaming.
Next thing I knew I was paralized on the floor for 300seconds, then killed....
When I reloaded the game it wasnt there...... very freaky
Just before i died however I saw "Ghostly Apparation" as the name

Billies scare the hell out of me, only because they remind me of lobsters. And headless zombies, because seriously...anyone who has that sort of depth perception WITHOUT a head or a brain is something worth being freaky. Which is thus translated into dangerous ^_^ Goody!

Slofs giger clanfear look... well not realy scary but kinda powahfull

sort of.
Scary scary scary... nope. Oblivion isn't scary - comeon.
Dungeon dwelling ghosts that just hang arround waiting to be shot and mauled?
Undead that slowly come out of slowly and noisily opening hiding places?
A sudden jab of silence and a change of tune just before a rat hits your back?
Then again - doom3 and F.E.A.R. onlly surprised me once (each), so I guess it's a personal problem

I would have to say deers, yes deers oh yeah they may look nice and make you all nice and warm inside, but im telling you deep down inside are monsters

just waiting for the right time to strike. To kill everything, human, orcs, elves etc etc etc, the deer's time is at hand, may the NINE help us all.

But i have to say i havnt come across anything that made me poo my pants..yet

yay a 2 month old subject.
there's one "normal sized" rat in goblin jim's pantry section of goblin jim's cave. resurrect that puppie and see what happens. you can't hit the little bugger.
trolls are a pushover, ogres are atleast easy to see, billies are mean little bastards, but i prefer the Giant Slaughterfish or the GIant Mudcrab. I made a mod for myself that puts them in other places. just think, an uber-strong, 4x size slaughterfish swallowing you whole while swimming in the murky nibinean bay? freaky! i scared myself to the point of poo when he came out of the depths for the first time, and it was
MY OWN MOD!

Im gonna say that in my opinion Goblin Warlords are the most dangerous enemy they are not scary or anything but for some reason they can take an inhumain amout of damage and are really fast so the whole run backwards thing doesnt work well so i just sneak past them. As far as scary goes it isnt a monster but a trap more specificly dart traps wich are fine if you see them but if u are in a pitch black fort with the sound really loud and all of a sudden your guy just does that really loud grunt and starts taking damage it always makes me jump till i figure out what it is but as far as enemies go they are all pretty B rate as scary

It has taken great effort not to write "Yo Momma" in giant letters here. But the get-back-up-Aurons in KoTN Garlas malatar. Think they're dead, think again.
