I heard somewhere that if you kill a shop keeper then you can take his shop, iv killed the shop keeper but nothing has happend?
and do you get in trouble if you equip stolen things?
Sarya
1. No, you don't get his shop and don't even get those items he had for sale.
2. No, unless you really value those things and a guard catches you commiting a crime. In that case those things may be confiscated.

since all the items that the shop person sells are in chests out of sight of the PC ( more like under the shopseller) so you cant rob his items

in the coc testinghall ( hawkhaven) there is a test crate with what the shopseller has in it great way to get 1k for the theives quests

if you want to steal the stuff of shopkeeper .. you can type in "TCL" in the console.. then just walk though the wall,, and somewhere outside the cell you should be able to see a chest with all the stuff the shopkeeper sells..

Umm, if you want to cheat that is and what is the point of that? That doesn't make you worthy to join a Guild, that just makes you a lazy cheat. verymad.gif

It's also useful for testing mods that add items in that way.

But...but cheating is bad whistling.gif

in a game like this (Single-player) the only person you can cheat is yourself but if you enjoy it, what's the harm?
XanAlderon
Normally when I play I don't cheat but if Its the end of the day and I am bored then Its fun to just type in t.c.l and fly around or raise my stats and kill all the citizens of Cheydinhall . But I wouldn't beat the main game using cheats thats just a waste of time.

Uhhh....what was the topic about again?

Thats right owning shops.
I think you probably got this confused with investing in shops. You can do that if you reach masters level in mercantile. But I wouldn't kill the shop owner if I were you, not the best investment tactics.

Also you can wear stolen stuff with no consequences but you run the risk of having it confiscated by a gaurd if caught with a bounty on your head.

OR
I WILL EMPLOY YOU

I want to say something about investing in shops...

You dont need to become master in mercentile, you just need a score of 100... To increase your mercentile, simply create a spell, increases your mercentile 80 - 100 for 2 - 3 seconds... Then you cast it, talk to the merchant... Invest the money in... rather simple really biggrin.gif I also use these kind of little spells time to time, I created huge boost spells with short durations, so I cast a spell that boosts marksman for a few seconds and make the shot biggrin.gif...

Just to clarify, I didn't say it was wrong or harming anybody, I just asked "what was the point?" tongue.gif
