im so pissed right now, for some reason my oblivion started to stop working completely, i turned off all my mods and even tryed turning off expansions and it still crashes every time i try to start it up.

if you guys know of any similar problems that have been solved or know how i can fix it that would be great.

I will suggest that you diskclean your PC and defrag... If even vanilla Oblivion is not working, something might be wrong with your PC... Oh and also check your HDD for viruses too...

Not much information to work with here. To help you troubleshoot we need something to work with.

Are you using Vista or XP?
What version of Oblivion are you using? Which language version? What patches? Do you have Shivering Isles? Do you use OBMM or OBSE and do you have the latest version if you do.

Do you run full screen or in a window?
Do you use any instant message program while you are playing or something like xfire?

Is it only Oblivion, or does anything else have the problem?

Did you change anything before it started to fail? Not just in Oblivion, but anything at all on your computer.

In what way does it fail? Crash on game startup - if so at what point?

Crash after start - again at what point?

Crash while playing - what were you doing when it crashed and just before?

What happens when it fails? screen freeze, character unable to move, CTD (Crash to Desktop) black screen, flames shooting from back of computer or any thing else.
