Hello,

I was doing the "key to it all" quest and got into the ruined cave and can't open the door because the button says I need to "push it a special way", what the heck does that mean, you can only push the space bar one way???? I've tried every thing I can think of to open it, the character I'm playing with is a only a 2nd level fighter right now & I don't have any telekinesis spells. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What guild is this quest for, or who gave it to you and what town are they in? It's easier for us to look it up if we know more than just the title of the quest.

I cant remember a quest named "key to it all" in vanilla Oblivion.

I think this is the skeleton key quest and the reason it does not work for the OP is:

He needs to be at least level 10

It isnt the skeleton key. he needs to be level 10 to obtain the quets, not do certain parts of it.
I think its a mod quest, as the only quest I can think off the topic of my head with similiar circumstances is the Paradise mission, with the bands of the chosen.

I'll try to get more info on where I obtained the quest, have have only a few major quest mods installed like "Lost Spires" and "Enhanced Daedric Invasion". I'll post more info later today when I have time. This is defiantly not the skeleton key quest. I have a feeling that it is a quest I picked up in Skingrad that deals with a missing mage guild member, and you have to go to a cave SSE of Skingrad and you get a pair of gauntlets called "(somethings) keys" then you have to go to the far east side of Cyrodill to "Ruined Cave" .....Hmmm, as I'm typing this I think I just figured it out..... I threw the gauntlets in "The Luggage" for safe keeping before I went to "The Ruined" cave. I bet all I have to do is wear the gauntlets when I push the button, duhhh.

That is not from oblivion.... That has to be a mod. Or your explaining it really badly.
The missing skingrad mage member is part of the mage's guild, and all you have to do is clear the place of zombies and then get the guy to follow you out.

I believe this is the mod Spirits Edge Quest. Check your log and I believe there is a thread but I dont remember if it was here or somewhere else.
