As of today, August 9th, Bernie Mac died of Pnuemonia.
Does anyone else find this sad, or is it just me? Everyone I've told has not really cared that much...

He was in a show called, the "Bernie Mac Show." He was also in several movies, including, "Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve, Oceans Thirteen, and Transformers." He had been Nominated for two Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three NAACP Awards, and he had been awarded four NAACP Image Awards.
Does any of that ^ ring a bell?

One of the original Kings of Comedy. He's one the funniest stand-up comedians to grace the stage. A consummate family man and an inner city youth foundation advocate.
You were misunderstood by many and loved by few but I know you were a good human being and I feel for your family.
R.I.P Bernie.

He was Bobby Bolivia, the used car salesman who sold the giant robot hiding as the not so pristine Camaro to Shia's char.

A great loss indeed. Forgot which disease he had but as far as I know he ended up with no immunity, after that he caught the pneumonia who brought his end.
R.I.P. Bernie Mac...you will be missed.

I was shocked when I heard that too, of course in hindsight, the news from his hospital stay set us all up for such as shock. I gave myself a few days before responding to such a topic, however this still feels surreal, especially a few days after with Isaac Hayes' death and the whole Georgia crisis during the Summer Olympics, a time of international optimism. I know that sounds melodramatic, but much has happened this last week. It seems weird, but the first thing I thought of when I heard of his death was the whole debacle at the Obama fundraiser, and I wonder, if the stress from that contributed to his death. Of course, I do not blame Obama, or even the hecklers for his death, but the timing of the whole things makes me wonder.
He will be missed, but thanks to his talent as a comedian and actor, never forgotten.
