If Anyone Goes Off Topic. I'm going to do whatever I can to get back on topic. Even if I have to go to extents such as reporting...etc.

But on serious matters, yeah design your sword and I'll draw it if I like it.

Rules:

1. Has to be your own design, no using already made designs!
2. Stay on topic or else! I do not want people such coming in here and ruining this thread.
3. If I like the design enough I might make different versions of it.
4. List details of the design. I.E. Textures, type of sword, origin, name, etc.
5. I said this once and I'll repeat, Stay on topic! And just so everyone knows the topic is the Sword request competition. Not any of the crap I saw on the last thread that caused it to close. Topic is SWORD request competition. If you want to talk about something else make a thread for it.

Follow these rules and we shouldn't have a problem. I really want to do this competition so please cooperate.

alrigt, here's my frist sword. i call it the UNDERBLADE it was forged by DROW deep unerground

well the handle is mad eof drowbone and the blade is a slivery metal that i made up for a book i am writing called "ADAMITHRIL"and it is cold to the touch. the gem in the center is a sapphyre stolen form the DROW QUEEN

the sword is so haevy that you normally need two hadns to hold it but the main character of my book is blesed by the drow so he is so strogn he can hold it in one hand

So it's a longsword? Or claymore?

well in my book it will be a longswrd but in the game is should be a claymorre

In any case, the next weapon I'd like to submit is the Sunweaponbane, a legendary sword indeed. It is forged from the same Adamithril as the Underblade, but is much stronger. Its crossguard and pommel are made of Bronze, with Gold decorations, and the handle is a dark red leather, wrapped diagonally around the blade. It is a longsword, I would think.\

Umm what else you got? I like them so far but I wanna see them all.

I whipped this up before realizing the mesh was complete garbage and I have no idea how to smooth it, but hey, at least I can officially say I can (incompetently) model.

It's a Tinted Silver Shortsword. (I made it a bit long... ) The handle is studded leather, with the tips iron. So is the handguard. The blade and spikes at the end of the handle are darkened silver.

Textures:

1. Ebony/Black base, with Ebon/Gold wein-like etching
2. Outside part Ebony/Gold, Inside part Ebony/Gold with Ebony/Black circles etching
3. Ebony/Gold
4. Ebon/Black base, Ebony/Gold hexagon design (like a beehive) etching, 4 circles, two to limit the grip extrusion the other two to delimit the handle from the rest of the sword
5. Ebony/Gold, Ebon/Black chainlink (Like a chainmaile) etching
6. Ebony/Black, 5 Ebony/Gold paralel lines running almost the whole length but breakin/bending towards the tip

@LoginToDownload: Use smoothing groups if you're using max, just select all polygons that should look seamless and assign them under a single smoothing group.

Blender, sadly. NifSkope doesn't seem to like Subsurf modifiers.

- Made from Bone, Human skin and Black Soul-gems (The cutting edge and the spike on the back are made of Black soul-gems)
- Your evilness IS the strength of the sword
- Perhaps (if possible) a construction "Quest" where you have to put the "raw" materials in a Necromansers altar and do the DEATHWISH from a scroll you'll find on a Necro, Zombie or Skelly (a really strong one(of coursel)).

as for deathwish's scabbard, there is none...., I was thinking 'bout requesting a script for that, it shud "POOF" away in a puff of Black smoke. (like a summoning spell)

I don't really want to overflow this tread but.., here is the 2nd

It's a pretty "simple" designe, I call it "The rangers Edge", it's a 'medium' sized sword and a dagger

Material sugestion (for texture):

- Hilt made from Bone, Horn or antler.
- Wraping is Leather.
- Blade is Silver or Mithril.

It was intended to be a dualwealder (one (short) longsword and a dagger (the dagger is the "sheeld")
I thought one sketch may sefice as the sword and dagger shud look-a-like, as for a scabbard it's a "as simple as posible one" (rangers don't do comlicated or flamboiand stuff, you know).

that sword to me ricky is more of a claymore

since i cant texture ( i give up... its hopeless ) i will be doing the CS work on this end if thats ok with shadow

It's a one handed "mediun" sized curved sword.

The blade is steel, the hand guard is Gildened (gold plated) or Coper plated and the hilt is simple leather wraped.

Name: Viscus Vesica (Flesh/Living Blade)


Concept: It was said that once, long ago,a blacksmith forged a dagger from strange materials collected from the crater of a fallen comet. Unknown to the blacksmith, the material contained minute bits and pieces of powerful daedra. Slowly and surely, the blade changed and grew, feeding on the flesh of defeated foes.



I loosely based my first two weapon designs on halo's plasma swords and the textures on The Guyver (Japanese animation.. I'll include a reference pic.)

Designs three and four are basically more sword like models of 1 and 2

IMO it looks better without the handle spike...

This is my competition, if he wants to do this he can make his own competition.

Shadow, you shouldn't see it as an attack or something.., I'm sure he only means well, it's not like hes taking your designes or something it are just the ones you think are to hard..., see it as a "litle helper" (Shadows Litle helper)
