First off.. i dont know if im posting this in the right spot or if im breaking any rules so before hand if i do, im very sorry!
I have dial up and i have no means to get faster net
High speed seems to not favor the rural areas unless you want
satalite >.<
So i was wondering if anyone would be willing or if there is a site or a place
thats does Download a bunch if not an enitre database of Oblivion mods
and burns them on DVD-Rs and send Via mail..
Im just wondering.. i really want to add mods to my Oblivion ;-;
i was told there was a site that used to do that awhile back b ut it seemed to have poofed..
im willing to offer a few bucks to cover shipping or what not as soon as i have so me to spar..
till then if there is anything or anyone that can help, lemme know please!
again, sorry if this is b reaking any rules or if i posted it in the wrong spot! =O
im kinda new here so =/

Nah, you did pretty well! This seems like the best spot to ask the question, and it seems like you have pretty legitimate problem...
...To which I'm afraid there is no solution, sorry to say. I'm not aware of anything even remotely like what you're asking for, though it would be a pretty useful service. The only real advice I can give you is to have a high-speed friend help you out, or to get a satellite, (Which I know from experience is a real pain in the ass. =/ )
Still, for a first (second?) post, this one was pretty well done. Sorry I couldn't help out this time, though, and good luck!

Actually downloading mods in my experience is relatively simple and quick. I mean, for the most part you're just dropping some files into your Data folder. Certain mods can be a bit more complicated, but not many.
I concur on your other point, however. The act of creating a mod can be pretty time-intensive.
In any case, time doesn't really seem relevant to this guy's problem, since apparently he's patient enough to be willing to wait for mods to be mailed to him, y'know?

Well since getting better speed is not an option u should do it in good old style and get a download manager (since u can pause ur downloads and not have to download them all in one shot)
i recommend that you use FlashGet

Well im not asking for any mods to be made o.o; im just asking if someone was willing enough to put a bunch from the
http://www.tesnexus.com/ on a few DVD-Rs.
i dont have good luck witn download managers.
and even so half the time the site your DLing from wont allow that puase and countue feature.
so rather then going thru the red tape of Download managers and the fact
my Net would be taken up the phone line a bunch of times.. i rather search
for someone who be willing to do the burning and sending =)
I dont live alone and i get Yelled at enough from being on the phone line to much
x__x
And thanks so far for the posts ^_^
I dont really have any mods in mind.. just that i want to get a bunch like a libary or something on a few dvd-rs that way i can mess around with oblivion to my hearts content ^_^
I remember playing mods for morrowind and that was fun!
or untel morrowind had enough and crashed on me when i was getting to the juicy parts of the mods i was playing >_> Curses.....

I can't offer you what youre seeking, but I would like to offer some advice! First of all, you'll be very lucky if someone does this for you, but chances are it won't happen. You gotta understand the hassle it would be. The best I can recommend is maybe leaving your computer on overnight, downloading a file you want. Also you could try just downling some mods that are only a few megabytes. Those wouldn't take long to download. The next best thing I can offer is you take a flash drive to the nearest library and download some mods there. I'm not exactly sure how "rural" a place you live in is though, so a library may not be an option. Hope I helped! And sorry if you're unable to do any of this.

Yeah, that was my idea as well. A public library or a coffee internet - something to that end.
The problem is that you could browse all those mods for HOURS.
If you're realy intent on getting something from someone on DVD's I'd probably ask someone living nearby but I'd give him a list of mods you'd like to try.

Exactly, choose the ones that interest you most.
Quests? Try Kwatch Aftermath
Magic? Supreme Magicka
Stealth? Attack and hide, or Stealth Overhaul
Combat? Deadly reflex
Better Enchanting? Advanced Magecraft
More items and monsters, a general game rebalance? FCOM rulezzz
Sexier females? HGEC or Exnems body replacer
There are many many more of course, it all depends on how you'd like ot play Oblivion. Just start at what pisses you off most on oblivion.

And you're not going to find it! Because as to this point in time there no such thing!
BUT FEAR NOT CITIZEN! For we're creating just that for our (not so) little mod

.
Patience.

That's a really specific and strangely appropriate request for a mod. It just so happens that a mod eerily similar to the one you described is currently being developed by myself and my crack squad of mod commandos.

Yes, but you failed to mention our crack squad. Our crack squad is the glue that holds this mod together. Thanks to our crack squad, we have been able to accomplish tasks that could only be performed by crack squads, such as:
-Crack Squad Team Cheers
-Crack Squad Bake Sales
-Crack Squad Songwriting
-And, of course, The Annual Crack Squad Checkers Tournament. We all win.

I'll do this for you.
I'll start you off with all of the mods that I use as there are a fair few. I won't be able to do this before the weekend though so if you have any particular ones in mind just PM me, along with your address.
Cheers.

It is in the mail, mate.
It came out to 3.00gb of compressed mods so I also threw XP SP3 and the .net installer on there as well since you mentioned you didn't have either.
I hope you like them, let us know how you do.

I used to be on dial-up a few years ago, then switched over to cable broadband when the cable provider included my ISP.
I don't know where you live, but you might want to check out this website for a possible dial-up accelerator. It worked pretty well for me.
Here's a link:

No. If that was the case I would not have recommended it. I told you I used it. If it wasn't any good you would never have heard about it. Cheeky for sure.

You're very welcome. The XP3 is the ISO I believe so you'll have to burn it to a separate disk.
Cheers.
