I've modded a couple other games before: Neverwunter Nights, Dungeon siege, Counter Strike, as well as a brief foray into using the WoW engine to essentially make an entirely new game (didn't work, I couldn't figure out how to make custom spells).
Thats all I have to say for introductions I guess.
Obligatory Noob Question:
I looked at the tutorial Worldbuilding 101, and it built a world alright. A very spikey world.
Before I go over every cell with the "smooth vertices" tool (which I am not looking forwards to), is there an easier way to get rid of a large amount of jaggedness in the world or a better way to generate a landscape/heightmap (aside from fully handcrafted)? Or did I do something wrong?
Heres a picture so you know what I mean.

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!
