It means you care and you don't depending on the sentence you use it in...and to whom..
.For me own reasons, I could not post in the I hate thread..So i started a place, where you don't have to necessarily start a sentence I could give a rats arse..But where you could say whatever, to vent without having to use the word hate..
.Its more to describe the everyday irritations, some you care about, and some you don't , by using the term I could give a rats arse or maybe even I don't give a rats arse..
If its something you can live with, yet irritating, then you could give a rats arse, if its something thats really annoying you, and findig hard to deal,then saying that would mean the opposite, we have allot of those here in Cork here...
Like someone asks you do something absolutely against your grain, here in Cork that would be like say support Dublin in any way...your reply here would be.. I will yeah..which means when pigs fly....,Its one of those sayings that the meaning depends on the situation your in, and the context..in means you care or you don't care depends on situation..

To the Goddess they can be self-contained, pure, independent, uncorrupted and unpartnered. Virgin in this context has more to do with state of mind and attitude rather than physical attributes or sexual status .

I could give a rats arse about, not having my coffee yet....ok,I lied, I need it!

Amongst other things that may get me censured if I shared them, I don't give a rats arse what people do in their own home.

I do give a rats arse about the following:
That I don't seem to have any words lately body pain has taken them..
That somehow I got in the middle of a subtle feud by refusing to take sides, and now lost the friendly communication all sides it seems, simply because I care much about all parties equally..in different ways.
That I seems lost in some limbo right now personally..and have no idea where it will lead.
That ( no offence to any Yanks) that American country and Western and top 40's have infiltrated almost every radio station in Ireland but one left that plays traditional Irish music, and that one also is in a financial need an is in a struggle not to be taken over..
It bothers the hell out of me, I love my culture and our music, and sometimes whatever they call progress, really isn't...

I know how you feel. It's not easy to stand your ground when friends feud. Your heart is torn and in the end no one really wins. when emotions run high, everyone becomes hyper-sensative and those in the middle sometimes suffer more than those feuding.

If its any consolation,I don't care for country/western music,so your not offending me.

Thank you..ironically actually I was writing such a heartfelt, open PM, and I do give a rats arse after I took the time, to write such , that i hit the wrong key and the page turned and I lost it all..and I wondered was it an omen to not do that..Just to come back here with a notification in my inbox, and see your reply, that perhaps I should do it again..instead of cussing to the heavens outloud as I do when that happens..and just say feck it..yet I am so lost in second guessing my intuition lately..What do you think, omen or some abstract energy buggering with me..

That's the case, suffer this:
Sometimes I could give a rat's arse about some things in real life, what with it getting in the way of having fun and enjoying good company, bogging down the mind and spirit, putting one in a state they really don't want the moods inflicted upon those we care about, when it comes from different directions and takes a big bite on the arse. Other than that, everything's just fine. wheeeeee !

Odddly enough I understood that Mos and I like that..round about way of saying what your saying..though it usally twist me knickers in a knot for I am literal up front kinda person..which does lead to trouble aye..
What I do give a rats arse about is all the arse biteing..And good to see me Mos, is fine...I miss me Mos..and his counterpart..
