I suppose, although it seems to have more to do with our culture, as most other countries allow people to drink at 18 if not 16. But whatever, maybe not. I don't plan on getting drunk though. I'm the type of person that needs to be in control of what I'm doing.

I could give a rats arse about the drinking age being 21. It's a good age and other countries allow children to drink with their meals, thats true, but to many young people in the U. S. are not taught responsability by their parents. They want to be a friend rather than a parent.

this is true. I'm fortunate enough to have friends who (for are the most part) responsible, as am I. It really pisses me off, because those people my age that aren't responsible give all of us, even those who are responsible, a bad name.

What? South Africa's drinking age is 18. Two weeks ago I was drinking in a bar(I know, but I was only going to drink ONE beer, I've never been drunk!) and up comes the barlady, asking for my ID. As I was 17 they took my beer, so that just goes to show, at least some of the laws here get inforced. It might change though, one of the candidates who is running for president only got second grade in school, and he's going to make more money than I will even after I go to University!

It upsets me a whole lot lately when a few of those I care about seem to be at each others throats lately..Subtle but very palatable ..Ok its is none of my business it only hurts, that I care about said people and just wish, that I didn't have the tendency to want to be a bridge, for they tend to get blown up..
Aye we're here to blow off steam, but sometimes I feel, that instead of outright facing the matter, snipes, back and forth are made, and since I care about all the said parties, well it just bothers me thats all..and I don't like it one bit, that others hurt so much about something, they snipe at each other..I don't care who started it, but I wish one of said parties or both would just let sleeping dogs lie, only because we are better than that, and I care about you all..

I still find it oh so amusing, and I do care a rats arse about that, that no-one seems to realise what they are saying when they start a sentence with that, and realise they are meaning the opposite of what they say...Don't make me have to tell you all, the farmer the rat and the pantry story that started that wee bit of vastly misunderstood colloquialism ..
