I have played all previous versions of Fallout and really loved them all but one thing I missed throughout was luck of any mods or immediate expansion packs to prolong play-life of this witty and gorgeously conceived but otherwise quite short games.

After my immensely satisfying experience with Oblivion CS kit I had high hopes that this will change with Bethesda taking over Fallout series but alas it seems destined not to be.

From modders stand point Fallout’s nitty-gritty but believable alternate-history story would be in my opinion fantastic and much richer source of possibilities for modding then Oblivion quite loosely defined and pretty unfinished D&D one ever was or will be.

As it is we can only hope that Bethesda will change their mind and will see need to make Fallout CS eventually available but in meantime I would suggest to you all to write to Bethesda and ask for it. That would definitely benefit us all.

Thanks to Divine Avenger and SydneyB for their help in answering questions. They have provide excellent information.

I don't have the time right now to check these comments on a regular basis. If you have issues with the CM Partners Mod, please email me the specific details at cutthroatmods@hotmail.com. Please include your setup: if you have Shivering Isles installed, if you are using OBSE, if you are using invisibility or not, and which CM Partners files you are using. I need this information to determine what is happening.

Thank you.

Doesn't look to be worth it compared to other FPS games.

I'm buying it, have the collectors set on pre-order...I had to for the metal lunch box and the bobblehead =D

Even though it's not shipping with a toolkit I'd expect to see one after they patch a few bugs, so maybe a Christmas present for us. Hopefully...if ever

I would only buy this game if it had a construction set. Let's just say that I think Bethesda might be over their heads. I played Vanilla Oblivion for only a short while before I was bored out of my mind. Mods make this game a bearable time-killer, but without them, the game as it was released was sub-par, at best.

Sigh. When are they going to hire some decent animators? Valve picks up people from Pixar for chrissakes.

I played Fallout 2 maybe 9 years ago, and kept going back to it until I found Morrowind, Tribunal & Bloodmoon in 2004, I still have FO2 and FO BOS on my desk. I know Bethesda has done good with Fallout 3.

Stil I think I should point out that almost no CS vital info has come out from Beth thus far, yes there administration is considering packaging the CS for public use, but haven't put the axe down yet.

There is no definitive confirmation on file formats (.nif and .xml) are the common formats for the designs that are in the vids and descriptions from the interviews. Does anyone even know if the suits are skins or apparell? Does the game have low end graphics and physics (640x480, 1024x1024. no disintigration). How easy is the ingame modification (script, model change, binding), in the interview at E3, the rep said that weapons can have attachments, if the scripting is not done right at the game design phase, than a CS can not add external custom attachment meshes.

The positive thing about the game seems to be the physics engine and the desintigrating meshes, but this causes problems for low end systems (below 3.0GHz, 1024mb RAM, 512mb 128bit) this event would lock or crash the game.

Gamers/modders need to first know if the game been built modular, like (TES III, TES IV, Crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. because that is what the orignal target was) or will it need core design adjustments before a public usable CS is evan a valid option.

I WILL NOT BUY THIS GAME UNTIL A WORKING CONSTRUCTION SET IS LAUNCHED THAT IS COMPLETELY MODIFCATION FRIENDLY.
