Fallout 3 has nice graphics, the game play in real-time looks better than being a skill-less faggot using VATS, and the gore looks kind of funny, I might use a bloody mess and punch people with my fists, like in oblivion and their arms will fall off. The game itself looks like an enhanced oblivion that takes place in the 60s. Looks very promising, buying it when it comes out.

Unless the game is modifiable, I will probably not be buying it - for I doubt that the shipped version will have all of the elements I want carried over from the original games.
How could it be not modable? It's for the PC.

For sure I'll buy it. Fallout's one of the most awesome games ever and now it's published by Bethesda? I'd be a fool not to buy it!

Hello,
this isn't a comment, I tried to use the 'contact author' and got a message saying I don't have access to that feature.
Anyway I would like to know when this [or the current latest] version will be uploaded to a mirror- in particular Planet Elder Scrolls - so that I [and others] with a dialup modem can use a download manager and not have to be connected for hours on end worrying about getting say 50% through the download, losing the connection and then having to start all over again.
If you could do that, that would be great!
Thanks
Damian.

Umm... News flash for you in case you haven't heard. Oblivion and Fallout are 2 totally different games. Un related in any way other then the makers and game engines. Oblivion is a fantasy and fallout is a sci-fi game. There is no comparison between them.

Every game should have a CS of some kind. No matter how talented they are, no one working under deadline will ever produce something that can't be improved upon in some way.

If Bethesda does not want to work on a new TES than scru them. Bethesda has made the greatest game sequel in all times and now they let it go for a...a...regular game! No, I will not buy it!
I have lot of other games to play, namely the 3 TES's: TES 4 (a.k.a Oblivion), TES 3 (a.k.a Morrowind) and TES 1 (a.k.a Arena). Unfornately, i don't have a TES 2 hopefully Betthesda will make it free somedays.

IF it does wind up with a CS then I'll probably try it out but if they do not include one then I'll wait for the used copy after a few months when everyone gets tired of rehashing the same content and floods the resellers with used copies that can be had for cheap (that way Beth does not receive the funds they would have if they had released a CS with the game !!

There is no way this is going to be even CLOSE to Fallout 1 + 2. Bethesda couldn't even keep up the quality between Morrowind and Oblivion, why should anyone think that they could do justice to one of the most iconic RPGs of all time? No way I'm going to buy that and disappoint myself.

Gotta laugh.. the "ONLY" reason I play these games is because of the amazing work of the community, they add so much more [some might say putting in what should have been]. Not having a construction set come with? I'll keep playing Oblivion and buy it at in the bargin bin in a year.

Having played Fallout and Fallout 2 much before Morrowind and Oblivion, I was really upset when I heard Fallout 3 got the axe (Due to Interplay shutting down Black Isle). Now, it is in good hands; and hopefully we will see some more of the PIPBoy and BoS!! Yay!

I just saw the first 4 videos from GameSpot.com. What I saw was a great shooter. Those of you that know the Fallout Story should be very excited. I even put it on Lay a way just because I'm a fan of Bethesda and the C.S. available to give the home video professionals (The Modding Community) somethin new to design expansions with. Behtesda did not write Fallout. I like how they design an RPG as their track record shows it. I love some good blood spatter and heads being blown off, but I'm an RPG person. BIOSHOCK had both! I really think I'm removing my lay a way. I also waited this past year for Fallout too. I just do not know the story and the videos did not show me a good reason to buy it now. I'm pretty unhappy now!

Modding is at the heart of gaming. I think that is, being entertained by our imaginations. You simply need a construction kit for that. Maybe someone just wont have a perfect game experience without something small, maybe it's as simple as a clothing color change. I'm sure most people reading this have a favorite Oblivion outfit, I bet it's not vanilla. Modding makes games better, adds to replay value, and attracts larger crowds. All of that helps keep the communities alive longer.
Imagine Oblivion with no mods. I can't, I use over 180 right now and that grows every day. My data folder is 12 gigs and I still don't have Shivering Isles. But guess what? some really great mods need SI so I'm going to buy it. I love expanding Tamriel, and adding in more of the continent requires SI. I don't even care about SI but the mods just earned Bethsda a sale.
Let me put it this way; If Fallout 3 doesn't have a construction set, then I probably won't even look at it.

I'd be willing to buy it only if it adds a construction set. Without the mods, once you're done with questing and such you're pretty much done with the game and re-playability goes down drastically. In the case of having player made mods, I speak from the experience I've had with both Morrowind and Oblivion in saying that it's a must-have for diversity and playability, I guess I'm getting greedy!
