Here's something I've been pondering: What monster (or person, perhaps?) scares you the most? Obviously I don't have much to ponder, do I? I think Dreughs scare me the most, due to a weird fear of the deep ocean (the beach is just fine.. it's just thinking about the miles deep stuff scares the skooma out of me...), and Dreughs tap into that nicely. Plus the fact that they're just plain freaky. Ok, now that I have that pointless thing out of my head, I thank you. ^_^

Ahh, if you have Bloodmoon, its gotta be the werewolves. Thsoe things with their gnashing teeth and beedy eys, they just sprint on two legs after you... and you cant... escape... and they're after you... and you try... to run... and they bite... and snarl... oh! the snarling!... and they tear you to pieces....!

Yeah, so I guess its the werewolves since they're so damn fast and the sound effects are so... terrifying!

Oo that's a good one too. I do have Bloodmoon, and I'm oddly a big fan of werewolves (hell, I did my High School senior term paper on Werewolves and culture...), so I guess I'm too busy admiring the wolfies to realize their scaryness. Plus the tearing sounds DO get nauseating. ^_^

Mine would have to be the Daedroth. Sh** the scare me. Walking around in an 'seeminly' abbanded dunmer stronhold and !!!BAM!!! this big green crocodile starts hurling poisen at me. AGGGGGGGGHHHHHH. That actually nearlly scared me into next Tuesday. Now I walk round with a reflect spell handy :lol: Come get me now crocodile B)

I think the dremora lords.. they arent that scary by themselves but when they appear behind you in shrines that freaks you out the first time it happens.

The ascended sleepers give me the creeps, I mean, what the heck is that stuff hanging off their face? They look like mutated elephants in robes. :o

Yeah, and those thin stubby arms can bitch slap you so hard, you'll be looking backwards. Thank Vivec they have sloth feet, so I can sit back and merrily chuck heavy pointed objects at them.

Cliff Racers have given me soooo many near heart attacks. Here I am, trotting along a trail, minding my own business and keeping an eye out for interesting plants. Suddenly, I hear this *whthp* *whthp*, and then BAM! I get hammered in the back of my head. It's always the head! Damn flying turkey's!

1) Blighted Cliff Racer.... I dont know how many times one of these has snuck up on me in a blight storm and given me a friggen heart attack.

2) Ordinators.... Those guys just give me the creeps allways sneaking up on you.

Vivec creeps me out.

For me it would have to be the dwemer ruins. The mechanical spiders and the dark machines running are scary as hell. The clinkety clank of the spiders when they walk and especially when you cant see them is also scary.

Reaper, don't forget that rogue dude in Pelagiad, who kept hitting on my female character after she had already set him up with Maurrie.

Aren't those 2 different rogues with similar names?

Mine's not really a monster per se, but I remember looting a tomb once, and when I went to open up the chest at the end, I got this message that said "You feel very cold" or something to that effect. Suddenly, two skeletons are hitting me from behind. They weren't tough or anything, but the message and then being hit scared the crap out of me.

First off: I knew somebody was gonna say Vivec. Hehe. His vacant stare is a tad unsettling. Secondly, I've had my share of damn Cliff Racer hearttattacks (usually I'm playing with headphones on while my boyfriend plays the PS2.. and I scare hiim too when I shriek from the bloody racers!). The first time I saw a Daedroth it sent me into a panic (I was weak, I stumbled upon some underwater place, surfaced, and bang.. croc-head was staring at me!). And Crassius Curio (Uncle Crassius?) is cute in a pedophilic kinda way. Lol. Harmless, horny old man. (he called my female char "pumpkin"? Oi!) Scarier than the Dwemer ruins are the ones in Red Mountain (pre-slaughering of Dagoth Ur).. yeech! Daedra Lords freak me the hell out whenever I try to take offerings to them.. and poof, they appear. First time I tried to swipe diamonds from some temple, BOOM! AUGH! Daedra Lord. Phew! If you examine the "evolution" of Dagoth worshippers from Ash Slave to Ascended Sleeper, it's even creepier. Note that Ash Slaves have this crevice where their eyes should be, and the next step up (those single trunked elephant dudes) have the same crevice, only filled by the trunk. If it was just a nose trunk, it wouldn't be so bad (actually that'd be funny), but it's instead of eyes! Eeeew! Ok, thats my five hundred and three cents (I think I've surpassed two cents, no?), but thanks... I love seeing what scares people (I do horror art ^_~)!!

Your right. I was getting confused, since they're both at the same Tavern and I couldn't quite remember the name(s) (Nels and Nelos).

Corpus stalkers are more anoying then scarry, the way they follow you around while your trying to loot that Divath Fyr(sp?) guys tower.

i have 2 say those damn dwemer constructs scare me the most... try walking around a dwemer ruin, with the sound up, and with gamma at normal setting... so dark... so noisy... *chink chink chink chink... BLAM!!* then a centurion comes and hammers ya... is why i always go into dwemer ruins with the sound turned down and gamma all the way up uttering "its just a game its just a game its just a game" i almost wet myself the first time i went 2 onna them places... ugh

nah, thats just annoying...

I'm most afraid of the rats in the Vivec Underworks. I'm just walking along down there, and all of a sudden a rat will start hitting me. Although, I have to admit that they have a lot of guts going up against anyone. Even a level 1 character.

i have played morrowind for some time now none of the monsters scare me any more but when i was first playing the coprus monsters to me were the scareist.

Pretty much all of the Dagoth Ur followers except maybe the dreamers you see on the roads. After that would be the Tombs with that music!! I mean you can hear all this mumbling and sounds and bam this floating skull with four arms and a robe comes around the corner...the full bodied Skeletons never bothered me though.

The thing that really scared me the most was when I was walkin' just outside of Seyda Neen when that Tahriel dude just comes screechin outta nowhere, that nearly gave me a heart attack

Fargoth scares the @#&% outta me. I made my character and entered Seyda Neen and saw that monster... I almost crapped my pants. He's just pure evil. ooh... *shivers*

mines not really a thing. if you have the werewolfs mod and you on your going past a swamp and you here a wolf howl and a message comes up saying something like "it is said that when a wolf howls some one is dead or some one is about to die" and theres scary sound. ahhhhhhhhhhhh

The Awakened Sleepers are scary because they are so strong. One of the first things I actually turned and all out fled from.

Looks wise, the I say that the scariest thing is the slaughterfish. Sure they are weak, but when I go swimming, I suddenly turn and see this ugly set of jaws knawing at my face.

Even if I am the 10-to-the-power-of-8th to say this:
The "Shriek" BAM of those damn cliff racers give me a haert attack every stupid time they do it.
I got used to using my earphones all the time, and that's what makes it even worse
Now i installed a mod to create a more realistic (haha) wildlife, which means no potentially harmless animal will attack you unless it's diseased or blighted.
And boy, good riddance

Even more of a heart attack than cliff racers is when you're woken up by a nearby presence when you're sleeping.. you expect to see a damn Ash Zombie (or was it Slave?).. and there's nothing there. Sooo.. tense, you wander around looking for it.. and POOF! It somehow time-delays and appears out of nowhere, scaring the skooma out of you. I hate that. I mean, do I have some sort of premonition, seeing as I woke up when nothing was there? Heh. As for "Seen any Elves?" I just assumed the damn Nord had drank too much mead... And did I miss something with Fargoth? Eh?

Wood elf females scare me. Annoying nasal voice, tiny people... Shudder. First time I fought Spriggans was scary too (ok, so I forgot somebody telling me they lived two lives .. at least two lives, the buggers!), I was happy to have killed it (yey! Smash!), and poof, it's back. And a second time. Urgh! Agreed with the tomb sounds.. I always freak when I approach one of those ashy tomb altar thingies.. whoosh! And yes, Crassius Curio can be creepy.

I just plain HATE Dwemer structures and everything in it, I can't stand them, they are creepy, scary and annoying, anyway I stay away from them. Probably the reason why I never finished the game (yet).
