Any other controllers plugged in or installed. Even a joystick or a virtual controller could cause this sort of behavior. Was your character just stuck moving in one direction, or was it moving all over the place? Could be stuck keys, could be screwed up .ini file, could be bad mod.

could it have been the "auto move" in action?
other than a stuck key that's All I can think of.

im out of Option i unpluged the keyboard and it still moved on its own, i dont have any virus's or anything like that. Ive recently did a format of xp pro and it doesn't have anything that could cause such problems, maybe a system restore might fix it, this is a new one for me to.

The first reply already suggested the solution. This is caused almost aways by the presence of some other controller like joystick, joypad...
Make sure it being disabled in the options. As last resort unplug it.

i dont have a controller installed, im a keyboard and mouse kinda guy, if that where the case i would have uninstalled the drivers for that pronto. Im no noob when it comes to pc's thats why im here, maybe some one would have a fix or a mod or something.
Like i stated before this is a new one for me, only Oblivion has this trouble, no other game does.
sorry if sound angered, its frustrating for me, i wanted to get back into Oblivion asap, theres so many mods out there just waiting to be tried out.

Well, it has to either be hardware or software. Other than you having a ghost in the system, we've run through almost all the available options. If it isn't the keyboard, try using another mouse. It might even be due to how you have your controls setup in game. The only thing it could be other than some hardware or setup issue would be if you had some bad OBSE mods or some other malicious program at work.

Blame on you Vagrant

... subtle way of calling OBSE malicious.
Something is at work here that is pushing the character... but what/how/why?
Don't get me wrong Thor, tis I recall vaguely have saw somewhere the .INI line about joystick causing troubles even when the physical device wasn't present. Go for it, I searched here and found this line: bUse Joystick=0... if it is already 0 I really don't know what can be.

I knew I was forgetting something worthy a try. Yet I think reloading a game shall reset the keys... this key is a toggle one, the game may be "thinking" the char is in autowalk mode, pressing the Q key again is a very good try, well done Jntk.

and no my keys aren't stuck, already test that theory first time when i saw it happen.
maybe like above, its an ini problem.
