Good to see those who suffered the most becoming moderators. Still I suspect LH and some others suffered a bit too because i got the sense that they had been there before them selves.

Either way its good news.

Not sure congrats are in order though, a moderators job is not nessessarily a happy one. Still the mods have my best wishes and i hope its not too difficult for them.

I've seen bben helping a ton on tech support (and have used quite a few of his answers).
I attribute my newbishness to not knowing much on AlienSlof. I'm sure she is a great choice though.

I know bben well, he's helped me with a few things and I've seen him help others so he's definatly deserved it. AlienSlof is a great modder and at one time was flammed to the point of seclusion. With the deepest sincerities I think it was a good thing that happened to Slof. With her experience with flammers she'll most likely not be kind to them and drop the hammer hard. I think the modders here can feel safer with her moderating.

I'll do my best to be fair while keeping the peace, as I'm sure Ben will too. I've already kicked one troll and as you can imagine, after the flak I've had, it was enormously satisfying! Those kinds of people are not wanted in any community.

I ask that if anyone sees anything amiss, please do report it. I'm on at intervals during English daytime, so usually catch reports pretty quickly. The lads are on when I'm not, so it should give the site 24 hour attention.

Well... if things get any better around here... i might just have to get religion. Oops.

Bben already gave me a hand and I'm a noob. As for Slof, I just want to say that I really appreciate your work and to heck with the controversies! I don't know much about that, I'm new to the Elder Scrolls (only playing since early June, and I'm soo addicted!) but I was so thrilled to add Robert's Muscular male to my Eshme and Exnems (that I've BASHED together so I can have both in one game -- I'm so proud! haha) and if it weren't for you and a few others like you, he'd have nothing but ugly beth-rags to wear! I may have questions because I've been getting pretty adventurous with the CS and Wrye. I managed to screw up my game and put it back together twice (word: frequent Backups!) Oh well, live and learn! I thought I was too old try to learn this stuff, but it really is fascinating! to me, unfortunately, my husband isn't a gamer he's probly sick of it. The mods of so many varieties really do make this game come alive.

Anyway, again, I'm glad to see you BOTH here!

Alienslof, is one of the most respected members of the oblivion community, her presence on this site and now being part of the staff enriches us all greatly.

BBen46 has always demonstrated his ability and willingness to help and is also a great asset to the community and a welcomed addition to the staff, (He is older that I am, this is not usually the case).

Again my friends, I add my voice to the throngs offering a cheerful welcome.

That brings me to a completely off topic question, How do you get a title beyond newbie, regular, veteran, etc. Is it related to post count, activness, contributions, or is it easily changed through the My controls section?

You sure it's 500? I swear I've seen people with 300 and a title. I know slof has one and she's got around the same as me but I'm guessing her being a moderator has something to do with that.

At 500 posts beside your name, you can then make your own title. This is an automated feature.

AlienSlof was a special exception. It was her only request when she came onboard and Dark0ne fixed her up. Perks of the job I guess you could say.

I would like to officially announce and welcome the arrival of two new moderating staff here at the Nexus that have kindly offered to battle on the frontlines of this community by helping to moderate the file database and forum comments on this site.

The lucky volunteers are none other than AlienSlof, of modding fame, and BBen46, of helpful grandpa fame! These two members have been awesome assets to this community for a considerable amount of time and myself, Buddah and LHammonds are happy (and grateful!) to have them on board.

Not really an active participant in the community, but I work in the shadows; I'm a keen observer Entirely pleasant but not unexpected surprise (even before these two names went 'green' on the forums). TESNexus is shaping up and looking like a fully fit battalion now. Congratulations BBen and Alienslof!

Just would like to add that Alienslof has been an inspiration for me as an artist more than anything else she endeavours in ever since I had the pleasure of browsing her numerous works in her site. As for BBen, most if not always there's information or a new lesson learnt whenever I read his forum posts. Again, congrats!


With that, gashie roams free in the lands of Nexus, a ticklish and pleasant feeling traveling with him wherever he goes.
