I would like to ask people something, is the marksmanship skill only applied to the damage or the accuracy as well? You know this game is 1st person or 3rd person so you pretty much do the aiming, but does marksmanship skill also apply to accuracy? I know on higher lvls you can zoom and paralyze and knockdown (I am a master archer, my marksmanship is 100 so I know what it does biggrin.gif)

And how is marksmanship skill applied? I mean to the damage dealing formula... Does anyone know about it?

Thx in advance biggrin.gif

I could be wrong, but as far as I know it takes the damage of the bow and the damage of the arrow and puts it together to get the total damage. Also, like with swords, your agility affects how much damage you do with a certain bow. For example, a lvl1 char with 30 agility does 5 damage with an iron bow, whereas the same person on lvl 30 with 80 agility does 15 damage with an iron bow.

hmm... so aiming is all up to me... thx for the help man, I wonder how will it be in fallout III, since on previous fallout games your aim was related with your skills not your mouse crosshair biggrin.gif
Halororor
Yeah, the only thing that changes aiming is that when your agility is higher you don't have to aim that high to hit further obstacles.

Anyway, a local (South African) gaming magazine has put the fallout 2 demo on their cover DVD for some nostalgia and I can't believe I've never played the game before!

Not just the damage and aiming, but the fatigue factor and reload speed too, I think... must confirm as I don't use bows often.
Halororor
Yes, the fatigue factor is there. Not sure about the reload though.

I always play a ranger character, although I used the bows maybe 5% of the time. Now suddenly with my new char I can't get back to using the sword again.

Well I cant believe you either biggrin.gif it is probably the best modern rpg ever made, even better then mass effect... I recommend you to try the first one too biggrin.gif it is an incredible game, in fallout, I remember that I killed the last boss without even shooting a single bullet biggrin.gif and in Fallout II I remember I got disease for getting laid without protection... I was starring a xxx movie whistling.gif

Also the humor in Fallout 2 is amazing, there is a card game you can play among many, called Tragic the Gathering or something biggrin.gif
