The article shows up fine on the main site but not in these forums. I am unknowledgeable of what the problem could be. Anyone, please advise. Thank you.

Edit: Thanks for the fix DarkOne!

I think it might just be due to the sheer size of the article that it won't fit in one post. I've placed a link to the article in the Site Bot post so people know where to find it. Nice article by the way wink.gif

Thanks for addressing this. You didn't specify a reasonable target size, but based on 7MB/55 pics, that's about 130K.
IMO, aesthetics should generally be pretty large (up to 150K, I'd think). But mod pics should be combined or cropped to provide info that's needed about the mod, without fluff.
Either way, there's no excuse for uploading a bmp.
Thanks again. You were polite and helpful; and thanks also for pointing to theLeeHarvey's article, because it was great, too.

Doesn't it strike anyone else as odd that an article about compression would have this problem?

I guess that's the price to pay for information. I'm sorry to hear that my efforts to link the contained highly compressed .gif images outside of TESNexus resources did not help in avoiding the situation which you have mentioned.

Such a question has been pre-empt and I hope the prepared answer above eases you of the confusion in your query. If there are enough individuals who would instead prefer this article to be split into two parts, thereby splitting comments from being consolidated and taking up two topic spaces in the forums or article pages, or suggest that I fully omit certain parts of it and detract from its intended organisation for what they feel might be more suitable, do kindly let me know.

Hopefully this article becomes of some use; if positive changes follow then it would have held its purpose. And then perhaps, the large article might, may, can, could just possibly be a sufficient and/or appropriate tradeoff.

On that note, I believe the more apt word in replacement of 'odd' that you were looking for would be 'ironic'; in which case, I will still have to kindly refer you to the first paragraph in this reply as the same answer still applies.

Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Cheers,

No don't split it. Forum users can just click one more link...not a big deal.

Good article,
Since I am new to Forums and Websites that allow MOD users to upload "images" of MODs they are using. Especially the use of clothing, armor, and body MODs so that others may see them in various combinations.
This lets me be aware of proper or more usefull and effeciate ways to upload samples.

Thank you.
